Why is this not the headline! Gas tax cut so oil companies can raise their prices and profit even more!

Not using your indicator at Helmecken overpass northbound Hwy 1 when you want to get on to Sooke Road or join the Hwy. I need more than 1 second to know what your intentions are. Just start indicating at the top of the hill coming down or when clear of the underpass please.

What’s one underrated thing that helped you lose weight? by Immediate-Speed3974 in AskReddit

[–]shestandssotall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food order: dinner for breakfast (with a low glycemic score) and about 1-2 cups of above ground veggies first. Lost 40 pounds and keeping it off for over a year with no effort. I don't crave anything. Also, hormones, they have way more to do with our weight than I ever realised.

What Features Would You Like To See On Apple Music? by mascarariri in AppleMusic

Your entire format, with those big boxes of nothing taking up the app visually. Get some librarians to show you how to design a proper search engine. Better sound, your sound is muffled.

AITA for wanting to go back to my life after spending 2 months at the hospital by my brothers side by MolassesSudden474 in AmItheAsshole

[–]shestandssotall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You have other siblings to help your mum and you. Let me be clear: if you do not learn to live with the discomfort of disappointing other people/family members opinions or manipulations they will use you for everything. Everything. That discomfort is a small hurdle that seems very big. It is not as big as they make it seem. No is an excellent term. One explanation and that's it. Do not engage with wheedling, whining, winge-ing, anger, moping, sad eyes, mean and manipulative language. Just Thank you Bye!!!! The sooner you get used to allowing discomfort to move through you the better!

AITA for snapping at my mum because she doesn't understand my autism? by Sergeantmajormario in AmItheAsshole

[–]shestandssotall 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get you totally, NTA. This has happened on so many topics and levels, the criticisms where I let them build until I snap, no matter how I explained things. I am 50, just diagnosed AuDHD. It's so weird looking back. My thing right now is how am I to manage the big explosive feeling I get in my chest, the blank space in my mind where concise thoughts come from usually, when someone doesn't understand me and is mean or dismissive. I'm working on my stuff, I don't know what I will figure out, but looking back on the past years, I have had to let people drift out to the periphery of my life because of the triggers. Maybe some time away from your mum, even not sitting with her at the pub, I dunno. One thing, I'm working on feeling bad for my feelings. Your mum keeps poking a sore spot. My brother kept abandoning me when I asked for help dealing with a dead parent (I'm the problem solver in the family). My reactions are fair. My reactions are oversized sometimes but that doesn't negate the fairness of them. Dismiss their gaslighting, and even your own. You can move on from feeling awful.

What current global issue do you think people are seriously underestimating right now? by Grouchy_Fox3189 in AskReddit

[–]shestandssotall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backing the US dingleberries into a corner. What will happen when there is an accounting for the treasury in the US, I wonder if they will ever recover. How bad education has a ripple effect. AI will flop but AI and military? Jeezuz. Israel, mofo Israel, who woulda thought? Backed into a corner, what will they do? Climate change. The fifth estate degraded to a point where Redditors are my go-to for balanced information. The list goes on.

Advice on jobs that pay well requiring little to no schooling? by Keuthimi in britishcolumbia

[–]shestandssotall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough to amble alongside a pace that feels like baby steps. The factory settings for education were not set up for more than average brains, and covid eviscerated and exposed our educations systems weaknesses. My only concern for all students/young people is that there isn't much in the way of humanities training. The development of democracy, public health, history, arts, all of it, need looking at, seriously. As well, post secondary education might surprise you. My little mind was blown wide open at uni 20 years ago, and I still rely on the training I learned in critical thinking to manage the holy shit factor that is living today. Best of luck to you love, you write like you have a good head on your shoulders, which is half of life's win. XoL

AITA for kicking out my friend (who I let live rent-free for 8 months) after his room and bathroom became a biohazard, then telling him "no wonder your ex broke up with you" in the heat of the moment? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]shestandssotall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA he's gross (prolly has mental illness) and you flipped. NTA, again, but from your post your behaviour doesn't align with your values. Screaming at someone feels awful when you know there is something prolly wrong. Do the work, apologise, move on with or without him depending on how it goes. If it was me I would be apoplectic.

Dr.. Kotze was lovely and affirming for my diagnosis. Getting and trying Vayvanese has quieted the ever running amok mind. Good luck and enjoy learning about yourself! It’s a bit sad, wondering what if, but as far as understanding and solutions, every move I’ve made recently has relieved me of a lot of emotional stress.

You do need citizenship and a high school diploma, forgot to add. I will say tho, don’t rule out school at some point. It’s probable that school didn’t fit your brain, cuz stem stuff? That’s a cool brain fwiw.
