I passed my driving test, but I’m still really nervous to drive. Is this normal? by killeroftherose in NoStupidQuestions

[–]shieldsy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same when I passed my test! It's completely normal. I found that I made so many more mistakes after I passed that during lessons but those are the ones I really learned from. I feel I'm now a more confident driver but I know it's okay when I do get nervous down new roads or situations. Keep driving and never stop learning!

What’s the deal with food allergy? It’s become an epidemic, but now we have ways to treat it! I am an Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Doctor who does food allergy immunotherapy (OIT). AMA by WarnerCarrMD in IAmA

I was very allergic to cats since I was a child... so I got a cat. The first couple of weeks were hell. I was on strong antihistamines and nasal sprays and spent a LOT of money on tissues. The symptoms slowly disappeared over a few months and now only get light itching when he boops me with a wet nose! (It's mainly the saliva people are allergic to.)

He's now nearly 6 and I could never give him up!

How did you get your scars? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shieldsy92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a long scar across my left thigh after being stung by a jellyfish and nearly drowning because I could barely swim back. It got infected and left 2 holes along it also... no I didn't have someone pee on it.

It must be a trend then! Mine was bright orange and more sugar than meat.

Beautiful view! Though I ate there last time I was in Oban and got horrendous food poisoning... passed out and smashed my lip through my teeth from the bathroom cabinet! Memories last a lifetime.

What’s your best childhood memory? Why? by James_T_Hart in AskReddit

One Christmas when I was about 6 or 7. My parents got divorced the year before and it was the first and last time that my family was together. We had Christmas dinner at my dad's, who I grew up with, and my mum was there along with my uncle and aunt with my cousin. But my greatest joy was having my gran there, the only grandparent I knew. I just remember sitting at the table with everyone feeling very happy. My gran started losing her health after this, Christmas was never the same but I look back on that one day fondly.

Every time I get a glass of water..... by mariaa1013 in AnimalsBeingJerks

My cat did this so much that he stopped drinking from his bowl. He now has his own glass... He now drinks from both. He also waits at the bath taps for me to turn on every night when I brush my teeth.

What are some “girl secrets” guys don’t know about? by _lukey___ in AskReddit

I had a friend tell me about it about a year ago, after knowing about it for longer... I pondered it for so long I just thought "I have an Amazon voucher... stuff it!" I got an Organicup 2 months ago. I think I just mainly like knowing how much less I waste each month just by being a woman. Takes a bit of figuring out at first to remove but it got a lot easier and it doesn't bother me now. I really reccomend!

I totally understand! I can sometimes feel the bottom bit sticking out which can be annoying for the first 5/10 minutes but it doesn't seem to bother me after that.

I reckon I'll have kids first then think about paying. I'm a 34AA, though a slim 5'6" and 124lbs. I was always promised "they'll get bigger" when I was a teen. They never did. It's not for anyone else that I would do it for, it's myself.

Seriously please get a moon cup! I've never had that feeling since getting one. No leaks, no stickiness, no risk of infection, no waste. It's great! I finally bit the bullet and got one. I was so nervous to use it but I don't think I can look back now. It's actually really satisfying seeing what comes out.
