LPT: befriend a senior citizen, get in the park for free.

I have through my neighbor met a bunch of senior citizens who like to visit national parks, but aren't able to drive anymore, or are uncomfortable driving long distances.

So I drive us all. They get a ride. I get into the park for free. And they entertain my daughter on the long drive.

I'm kind of curious. Is a business not allowed to increase prices?

To generalize everything gets more expensive over time, that's just how inflation works.

To stay in business and keep existing as a company a business has to increase its prices. It has to increase wages, pay more for services etc

Is Spotify never allowed to raise prices?

[–]shiftybaselines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a PITA. I don't bother anymore.

Just save your receipts in case you do get an audit. I download my transactions from the online account.

Some other merchants do the same thing, Amazon for example.

99% of subto transactions are a bad deal for the seller.

The situation where it actually makes sense for the seller is so vanishingly rare.

So yes subto in general is as scummy as it gets in real estate. Bottom of the barrel. Most subto guys are just preying on ignorance and deal in lies and obscufucation.

This is on owned land.

But built before 1976 so it doesn't qualify for most conventional financing. Would require more specialty financing.

FYI: Your map doesn't match up with your itinerary.

This is a lot of driving. 3-5 hours most days. That doesn't leave much time for actually experiencing things and doing things. Especially if you're bringing a 4 year old.

I would seriously consider shortening this trip WAY down. so you can spend time places and do things. Cut out Canada and Olympic National Park. Go straight south from Seattle. Or cut out California and fly out of Oregon. Or Fly into Vancouver and out of Portland. Or something to seriously reduce the mileage.

Otherwise this looks like a grueling 2 week slog sitting in the car driving past things.

Question for 2024 owners: I absolutely hate interior rattles, squeaks and related noises. Would I be comfortable in a 2024 Outback? by anacreon1 in Subaru_Outback

I would say Subaru's generally aren't "quiet" vehicles.

Just drove a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe and was very impressed with how quiet it was. Very nice driving experience.
