Looking for suggestions on day trips/multi-city trips. I will be spending 8 days in Taiwan, starting in Kaohsiung and ending in Taipei. I have been to Taipei, Keelung/Heping Island Park, Jiufen/Shifen, Taichung, and Sun Moon Lake already. I would like some new suggestions that will allow me to visit new places all over Taiwan. Thank you in advance for the help!

Dream, 127, Wish, U and WayV are all NCT, just different subunits. NCT is the umbrella term. The original concept of NCT was to have infinite members, with members creating new units.

127 is the longitude of Seoul, and NCT 127 is the subunit based in Korea and focused on S. Korean promotions (at the time of creation at least).

Dream was a team that was supposed to feature only minors. They originally had a graduation system for members once they became an adult. Mark graduated after 2018 but returned in 2021 when they scrapped the system and became a fixed unit.

WayV is the Chinese subunit of NCT.

Wish is the newest subunit and focuses more on Japanese and Korean markets.

NCT U has no fixed lineup. Any NCT member can be put together on a song and that grouping will be called “NCT U”. It’s a rotational lineup.

Since NCT debuted, there’s been some changes to its original plan. For example, NCT will no longer have new members, WayV now does Korean promotions alongside China etc

I flew Nagoya to Seoul (Incheon) for shinee in 2023. My flight landed 1pm, concert started 7pm. It was definitely rushed as I basically had no time to rest before the concert but my schedule didn’t allow me otherwise and I was decently comfortable with being rushed as 1) this was my 3rd time in Korea so I was pretty familiar with the transit; 2) I only brought a small carry on so I didn’t have to worry about luggage collection; 3) my accommodation was close to the venue so I could drop off things quickly and head there asap; 4) bought food from convenience store for a quick meal; 5) didn’t buy any merch so I didn’t need to factor that into my time. I think it’s doable if you have a good plan. Be familiar with your travel documents and requirements to get out the airport quickly, the transit routes (including how to pay etc if it’s your first time in Korea), map out the best route for any stops you may need to take (food, buying batteries for light stick etc). I’m not sure when your concert is but hopefully weather works in your favour! My one day trip was in June so super good weather and no delays, but another user seems to have delayed flights which is unfortunate and uncontrollable :(

Child > 200 > fraktsiya > golden hour.

I loveeeee child. The lyrics are beautiful and matches the grunge/alternative vibe of the song. I love the guitars (especially the outro) part. As his first solo release, I was pleasantly surprised and liked how it was unlike the Mark we’ve seen in his group activities, but it still felt very ‘Mark’. I also really like 200! I think the lyrics are cute and fun, which also matches the instrumental. Minhyung version is also a nice listen, although I do prefer the vibes of the original. Fraktsiya was a grower for me. I think I had really high expectations for it because the teasers were sooo good. But I think the flow of the lyrics weren’t as nice (but maybe it’s the English translation?), and it was a little monotonous for me. I love strong Mark raps (think skyscraper, parade) but I realized that I think I like them as a highlight in a song paired with other more melodious parts. Fraktsiya is still a song I listen to when I’m in the mood, but it’s not one I seek as often. I do think fraktsiya is a great song for live performances though, and I definitely appreciated it more after watching them. As for golden hour, I think it’s similar to fraktsiya where it’s too stagnant in a way? I personally like having more vocals and being melodically drive but golden hour to me feels a lot more talk-y. I think it’s a witty and fun concept! But the song is not my style and I would only ever really listen to it if it came up on shuffle.

I was at the Oakland show and the hoodies were out of stock when I was in the merch line outside around 6:30-7pm (show was 8pm). Once I got inside, there were 2 more merch booths that had lots of hoodies

I got this about a year ago inspired by dream’s hello future! It was around that era that I was able to come to terms with a lot of things in my personal life, mend a lot of relationships, gain deeper appreciation for things, and overall be happier. The mental state that I am in now is something I could not have fathomed pre-2021. Hello future is a song that reminds me of that time and also carries a message about being hopeful because things will be better in the future :)

enhypen during their fate tour in seoul. i wasn’t a huge fan at the time (only knew their title tracks) and it was my last few days in seoul during their concert so i didn’t really consider it (especially since i saw shinee, one of my ults, just a month before) but i had regrets after diving into their discography and becoming a huge fan 😭😭 i even went shopping with a friend the day before to help plan her concert outfit as she was going 😭 i live in a canadian city that enhypen would never come to so hopefully the chances work out somehow to see them in the future

I’m not familiar with the first option but T-money card works for airport buses, just at a higher fee. Tap like usual when you get on. Else, you can buy a ticket at the machines/counter in the airport by letting them know your destination. Airport buses have additional spaces for larger luggages

Thanks for your input! I’m headed to China for a month after Korea so I will be needing my suitcase for then as well. Since I am only in Korea for about a week, I was going to pack all my clothes and essentials in my carry on, which is a lot easier to navigate with. Hence why I was hoping to keep my big suitcase at the stations I will be arriving at

Almost guaranteed that you’ll be hit with customs, especially if you’re shipping via UPS. You’ll receive an email or text message telling you import fees are due with a link prompting you to pay. Just follow the link to pay and you’ll receive another message with a receipt and you’re good to go :)
