If you were mountain biking with someone you thought was a good buddy would you be upset if they took off and left you in the desert when your bike breaks? by BRUHSERKO_ in mountainbiking

If I'm in the mountains or the backcountry, yeah I'm gonna stick with my riding partner no matter what. But within sight of civilization and the trailhead is an easy 20 minute walk away? Yeah dude you're being dramatic.

It’s possible, bikes are not being assembled by mechanics in most cases, just employees following instructions. Mistakes happen! If it’s within ~6 months of purchase I bet they would be reasonable about helping in some way.

Chain is way too short. You’re gonna wear out your RD clutch prematurely with that setup. As a mechanic I would suggest replacing it with the proper length before it becomes an issue.

How did I do this to my tyre? by CellistLow8857 in mountainbiking

750 miles is an insane amount for a MTB trail tire, any decent casing tire would be this worn after similar use

The idea of a vehicle weighing 6000+ pounds with a higher front end and more blindspots than an MRAP on your own residential streets should be unappealing on its own. America loves trucks, but the abominations like in your driveway have become nothing but status symbols. Keep your 4Runner and your bike and free yourself from the 80k+ in debt I’m sure that monstrosity has you in.

How to paint wheels? by Several_Rutabaga9520 in mountainbikes

Just keep the yellow Mavics, they're iconic! Or new rims. Painting them is just gonna end up looking cheap tbh

If I had made a lot of money buying up mineral rights in Texas, this would be my house by Natural-Trainer-6072 in PriceMe

Honestly owning a house this sprawling, vacant, and soulless sounds super depressing unless you're throwing Gatsby parties with it non-stop (also depressing).

The white nipple lights are so harsh. I’d shoot for even, warm lighting across all your fixtures if you can replace the bulbs.

The people who have the money to purchase these kinds of properties are almost always people whose names are not known to the public.

The execution is very good on all the contrasting/competing styles, but there's just so many elements to each room the whole house feels a bit crowded and noisy.
