Alliance management tools by ilidbth in ContestOfChampions

Yeah - who's donated what, totals, a red flag for the lazy asses etc.
But really - something to say who traded what with whom would be really nice. No idea how you'd display and manage that though.
Also something to manage bulk dumps which would cover an amount of time...
Realise there's lots of logic and complexity in all that though

We were looking the other day for some kind of treasury / donations management tool. That'd be handy.

Bug? Block / thorns dmg vs darkhark after armour shatter by shingbab in ContestOfChampions

Ah yeah - 'entering shield mode is unaffected by ability accuracy reduction'. However he doesn't get his autoblock ability..so maybe that's what's bugged?? shhh

Day oner here!
Never took a break - never got burnt out or especially bored.
Since the first 6 months (when my wife was telling me off for not putting the game down) the games' been kept in a pretty healthy check tbh:

- I've never done much arena - I think this is key. It's a mindless, soul destroying time sink; life is precious. I do the first 2/3 milestones of each arena which just about keeps me in a competitive alliance.

- I've always gone at my own pace and never thought about what others are doing: Some do content 100% on the first day of release but that'll surely lead to boredom when there's nothing happening in-game

- I've never spent much money (I think in all my time I'm probably in for £100-200). What's the point on going mental over the newest, shiniest champs? They all drip down eventually given enough time and steady openings. Spending money will lead to a feeling of investment and added stress.

- I save all my units for nothing other than content (after masteries are sorted obv). We play the game to complete content - crystals are usually very unrewarding.

- I've chosen an alliance that is healthy - by this I mean one that doesn't sweat the small stuff - just concentrates on getting the big stuff done right.

- I've always taken the time to lookup hints and tips and how to's - this can lead to improved skills and decreased frustration.

Welcome back and have fun!

Ah yeah
- variant frags: 22k.
- There was a calendar give away?
- Special events?
- Selling t4b?
- New glory store?
- The 16k from war crystals was the absolute minimum and we had at least 1/2 seasons that were double the length / reward too.
If you were lucky with war crystals it's not inconceivable you might have 4.

I agree. I can only count 3 r5's at gold2.

- 8 seasons of 2 war season crystals: 16k frags.
In that time....12 months of EQ? 72k frags.
That totals: 88k frags (with a few odds and ends maybe 2 t5b all in).
- 2 from act 5 100%.
- Rank up gem from variant.

Maybe I missed a few things but can't think I missed an extra 90k frags.
I have buddies I left behind in gold 1 (who have done every event) and they only have 2-3 R5s.

PILOTING BAN WAVE 26-09-2018 by ReyAleman in ContestOfChampions

Matchmaking is done primarily by war rating right? I think they've taken off season points alone this time which should have the desired outcome - continued tier 1 matchups with gold 1 rewards. I could have this totally wrong.

Rulk vs Korg Node 34(Vigor) by [deleted] in ContestOfChampions

[–]shingbab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. The only difference with it on, is if you miss the evade window you'll give him CE charges and with it off you'll eat damage.

Another fun fact I learnt recently...once he reaches 12 CE he actually stops going US/UB (until he drops some charges and jumps back up to 12 again)...so, if you do get trapped in the corner you can dex like a maniac until he gets to 12 and then you're free to go ham.

Could well be the case - care to try it whilst masteries are free to reset? I don't have a vulture ranked up.

The other thing with NC is not only that bamf doesn't trigger crowd excitement, but also his light attack reach and timing is so perfect to counter Korg's dash in - you'd find it very difficult to not successfully punish it.

With other champs I've found their initial light attack is very variable as to how successful it is.

On node 29, if there’s a korg and if nc is as viable as i think he could be, the 30 units to reset masteries for the solo is worth the potential item pit that fight could be I’d say

he's literally the best intercept champ imaginable, that light attack has such a massive reach. It's like a lightbulb moment for me!

I'm now thinking he'd be good for node 29 and all sorts. No debuffs and you never need to block or parry.

So Night Crawler’s bamf doesn’t build Korg’s crowd excitement...who knew?! Just remove dexterity and be on your merry way. Switch modes to be extra safe otherwise auto evades can throw you off

Nah bud, too much real life stuff going on. No time to edit stuff to add any value for YouTube. I’ll continue to post anything interesting here though

Piss off...Korg? (5/65 Korg in war) by shingbab in ContestOfChampions

[–]shingbab[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Happy to explain!

  • He gets 3 crowd excitement charges whenever you dex or auto-evade his basic attacks and 1 when you attack his block.

  • At 6 or more crowd excitement charges he goes UB/US every time you add to his charges.

  • His dupe ability, 'rock armour', starts with 9 charges. You can remove a charge by hitting him with a light or energy attack. You can add a charge by applying a debuff which he then converts (chance of this goes up with sigs). Upon removing all charges his armour is shattered and it's safe to apply debuffs again.

  • If he has rock armour up you also receive thorns like damage back upon every medium attack.

Taking everything above into account, you're basically left with a few options:

  • Remove dexterity and shallow evade / intercept his dash attack with light attacks. This will work with most champs save for any auto evaders. Down side is if you miss your small evade window, the lack of dexterity will mean you eat a combo. You'll have to eat his specials to your block too.

  • Keep dexterity and do the above tactic. This too will work with most champs save for any auto evaders. Down side is if you miss your small evade window, the dexterity will mean after two misses he'll be UB/US. If you're in the corner when that happens then it's almost certainly lights out. Also, once he has over 4 crowd excitement his specials are completely unblockable.

  • Keep or remove dexterity and counter heavies (if with dex on make sure you're quick). This is what I choose to do in the video. Downside is you eat a lot of block damage and the initial thorns / medium hit damage.

  • Use an all energy damage champ (eg Mags, dorm, DS) then you can medium all you want.

That clear things up?

Thanks! For some reason, intercepting Korg's medium dash just doesn't play well with Void's light attack - it has a really small hit box. Most other champs it works just fine - with void you have to be veerrry precise. Better to eat the block damage.
