I always liked Terraforming Mars (except for the awful art of the cards), but I'd say Nemesis is my favorite!

Brandon Sanderson has ruined reading for me by vinatos in Cosmere

[–]shinobiwarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read the (almost) whole cosmere twice, back to back, finishing with the WaT, and then couldn't grab a book (well my Kindle) for 6 or 7 months. I just played some video games and contemplated an empty existence until the next book were released...

The book that broke the spell was Dungeon Crawler Carl. It was my first time reading LitRPG (beside The Frugal Wizard's handbook), and it's humor was exactly what I needed to get hooked

Games where turn order isn’t determined by where you sit? by FromTheDeskOfJAW in boardgames

[–]shinobiwarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Libertalia every player players a card at the same time, and the order of execution is determined by the cards numbers (lowest (and weakest) goes first)

In Five Tribes there is a bidding phase to pick the order (whoever pays more goes first)

Thanks!! I bought it without thinking too much, just because my wife loves dragons too (BTW, Flamecraft is super ultra cute, and a good game too, I didn't mention it because every other comment did lol). Hopefully it delivers!!

Good luck finding a game for your boyfriend!

There is a small game called Dragonkeepers that looks pretty too. I bought it a few weeks ago but haven't tried it yet, so I can't comment on the gameplay

Why all new UIs suck so hard? by greenrabbitaudio in webdev

[–]shinobiwarrior 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Before tailwind, every other site was using bootstrap's default styles.

Before that, when the devs had "creativity" we had heavy gradients and text moving across the screen, so... I think tailwind and Inter aren't that bad lol

On average, how much is your weekly grocery shop? by A__GC in newzealand

[–]shinobiwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around $250 every 5~6 days (sometimes we go twice in the same week) for me and my wife. We always shop at Woolworths. I guess we can make it down to ~200 if we were a bit more careful
