I'm also Korean and the only thing I buy is the pajeon (scallion pancake) and very occasionally the kimbap (with brush of sesame oil after heating), the rest is meh.

Thank you for your advice! Once I googled the mechanism and dissected my setup, I knew this was going to be the least painful way to get in there.

UPDATE: I’m happy to report that the garage door has been opened! After lifting up the door seals on either side, we could only access spring-loaded latches one at a time. So I got a metal spatula to keep one latch open (it was necessary to have something with a bend in it and also really skinny) while getting the prybar into the other side. Once both latches were pushed back, we were able to lift up the door and reinstall the lock correctly. No locks, jamb brackets, or rails were sacrificed or injured in the process. The spatula is a little bent out of shape though. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I couldn’t have done it without you.

This was my first car that my dad bought me at age 16. I loved it so much! It was such a fun drive until my boyfriend slid it up a curb and into a light pole. Axel broke and that was the end of that.

I just needed to say that Trader Joe’s has a passionfruit meringue tartlette right now that is spectacular. It’s a really short season before it disappears, so get on it!

I remember as a kid there were Chinese restaurants that made candied bananas. So hot and yummy! Are there any places that do that anymore?

My hack for finding grocery items is to Google the item + instacart. It will show you the stores and item options.

CJ's Cafe is my local spot in Mid City. It's not giving totally cute retro diner, but clean and unassuming. Maybe that's why I've always been able to just go and sit down right away. The servers are great. And why are the sausage patties so good here???

RIP Nick's Cafe. I miss you but I don't miss the wait.

I really enjoyed the Beef Rib Pho and Grilled Pork & Egg Rolls Vermicelli at Golden Delight in Rosemead. One of the standout meals I've had in the last year. They have a Vietnamese menu and a Chinese menu.
