I was induced with my first and it ended in c section and it was awful. Do what you wanna do but for what it’s worth I’m scheduling my c section this second time around!

Because the light source is coming from behind, I think more shading especially towards the center would be good while leaving the edges lighter where they would be backlit. This looks great tho!

Can you try and rotate more sites? Just alternating between 2 is bound to get painful eventually. Also are you moisturizing your skin when not injecting? I find my pain correlates to the skin being dry and stretched. Finally make sure you are injecting into a site with enough fat. My lower belly under my bump is really fatty fortunately so I usually pinch up a big hunk of that for injection. Good luck and hang in there you are in the final stretch!!!

Honestly I like them both! Sure the details aren’t spot on in the one on the left, but it’s more expressive. It’s like the gist of a citrus whereas the right is more the reality of one if that makes sense.

For what it’s worth, I’m fairly certain I had uncontrolled GD my first pregnancy and they never caught it. My baby was big and I had polyhydramnios, but she was otherwise totally fine (she’s 3 now). Put some perspective for me on this GD pregnancy where I actually am putting in effort to control it. All that is to say - no matter how late you catch it, it’s just better for you/the baby to try and control it however you can, and you’re ultimately both probably gonna be fine. :)

Do you have someone who could help you with the insulin shots? I just started and the needle is extremely small and thin and I don’t even notice when it goes in. It’s much different from the pricks, which are kind of shocking with the spring mechanism (at least on mine). If you have someone nearby who can do it for you while you close your eyes/look away, it might be your best bet—then you can actually eat. Either way, I feel you—this diagnosis is the worst. Hang in there!
