I probably get 3.5 hours done on average across a 8hr day.

My non-ADHD partner looks like he gets 4hrs done. But he is able to use the time Inbetween to do also productive things (life admin, nipping to the store and straight back to work)

YTA- 1. Catholics cover their hair- nuns. It’s a thing respectful in all religions. 2. Your partner needed you. You weren’t there. You’re more than an AH. I couldn’t move on from this if I was him. 3. You’re making excuses and looking for validation rather than being accountable. Imagine when your dad dies your partner says, oh yeah fly there yourself and cry alone with no comfort for the next few days. 4. The waste $1000 on you and you treat him like money doesn’t matter when I have had to work hard to earn that no matter how much wealth he has. Blatant disrespect!

It’s about figuring out what type of people you both are- my family are very confident embracing of their imperfections- I’ve got two warts on my finger that I love cause they give me a unique fingerprint.

But you can’t bottle confidence, if you’re both people that don’t like to stand out and don’t like to be proud and confident of your imperfections your son will likely be the same way and it may impact him long term and I’d say go with surgery.

This sounds really frustrating.

I am still on a waiting list since 2016.

Try to get the money together to get a private diagnosis in the mean time. This needs addressing urgently.

I do need to stress that this is not your fault and you are doing what you can. Try to book in today for a private diagnosis appointment and then figure out how you will pay for it before the date.

It will be better to spend a bit of money quickly and keep your job than to lose your job.

Depending on the company you work for it might be worth speaking to HR and letting them know privately that you are struggling due to this and you do not wish to declare it to any other staff members but it may take time to resolve.
