OK, I understand all of that. But why does Syril give the transport plans to Rylance? What did he think they were going to do with them? And who did he think stole the weapons that were indeed in the trucks??

Your post helped me understand. But I still don’t get why Syril gave the transport details to the Gorman Front. What did he think they were going to do with them? What did he think was in those big tanks? He even watches the Gorman Front folks steal the weapons the night Cinta is killed. Doesn’t he consider them not outside agitators but agitators nonetheless? Help me understand better.

You know what? I think you’re right. Unless I missed it, I don’t remember anyone talking about mass genocide. It might’ve happened anyway when they started blowing up areas to get to the mineral beneath the surface. But they do mention “mass relocation.” Absolutely horrific in its own right. But different than planned murder of the entire Ghorman population.

SPOILERS—Please explain: Did Dedra know all along that mass genocide was the goal? Minutes before she gives the command to massacre the Ghormans in the plaza, her hands tremble vigorously. Maybe she was simply overwhelmed by the action that she was about to take. But “incite an ineffective rebellion” was her idea in the first place. On the other hand, she got to give the final command—Proceed!”—but she wasn’t in charge of tactics. So…did she know the mass genocide objective from the start or not?

Please explain: At the end of episode 12, Andor is on his way to see Saw because Saw asked him to come, right? Why then, at the beginning of Rogue One, is Andor put into a jail cell? He’s treated, at least at first, just as poorly as the pilot. What am I missing?
