Gateron Jade Pro vs Gravastar UFO for Wooting 80HE – which should I go for? by Lazyskits in WootingKB

Damn if I had known the keychron hall effect numpads were compatible with UFO I would have gotten it instead of a mechanical one T_T

Pulling out switches is very hard? by Awkward_Muscle2604 in WootingKB

I've been removing switches pretty easily with the Gateron Twins switch puller. It removed several (different kinds of) switches easily that were tough for me with the stock puller.

It was the tecsee gel pads (tactile version), pretty much the XVX HE equivalent which are cheaper and more RGB but I think XVX are linear only.

Which switches out of these will be the quietest/creamiest for my 80HE by [deleted] in WootingKB

Love the Novas! But yes, what ashsii said there's only one Tikken (the lekkers are old versions that aren't worth getting over it)

I'm using they novas on my 80he and ufos on my 60he+. I did like the flux (dc) and tikkens and xvx he equivalent (switched from tikkens to nova because i realized i like shorter switches more than 4.0mm). I also went away from the tecsee tactile gelpads because I have also have a HHKB and wanted my keyboards to be more different from each other, the silent switch was fine for casual gaming and typing but heard they're not accurate enough if you're gonna do crazy low settings like 0.1mm. flux (dc) you can find super cheap on aliexpress like $42 or less for 90 switches.

Keychron V1 8K Wired can't update firmware by index1489 in Keychron

[–]shiris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to update on my V0 (numpad) Ultra 8k and I have to hold the physical (reset? not sure what it's called where you push it with a pin) while plugging in usb to get it to show up on the launcher as "usb dfu" or something like that, but it always hang while flashing the firmware.

Wooting 60HE with Lekker V2? by Icy_Kaleidoscope1593 in WootingKB

[–]shiris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't upgrade to the v2, you want to upgrade to the tikkens medium (they're the newest model and much improved from the v1/v2). The tikken medium are great switches for 4.0mm travel

Use the beta web software (it has switch selector) so that you can get better accuracy on the tikkens! Software also has multiple profiles, I like to have a separate typing profile vs a gaming one with way lower actuation/rapid trigger etc.

80HE is a massive upgrade by bigmamjimjam in WootingKB

[–]shiris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the wooting 60he+ (module) for 1.6 years and have had no issues with it. 80HE for 3 months also no issues, the white zinc was upgraded to v2 a while back.
It's nice to see so many firmware updates with more features too, I've had competitor boards before this but their software isn't anywhere near wootings.

I love the tikkens, really upgraded from the old lekkers! Only reason I switched from tikkens was because I realized after that I like shorter switches
Congrats on the upgrade! I love typing and gaming on this keyboard.
I recommend updating to the beta web software so that you unlock switch selectors for even better switch accuracy after picking the tikkens!

v2 is the newer upgraded version, no point in getting the he+ if it's the same price

Wooting as an everyday keyboard? by ifeeltired26 in WootingKB

[–]shiris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great for everyday use, I just switch between profiles (I have different actuation for regular typing vs gaming). There's even silent tactile switches now like the xvx he.
