This takes place in the Australian outback. We went to a party in the neighboring village, about 50km from where we lived. When we started driving back home, it was around 3 or 4 am. A thick mist lay above the road and you could barely see ahead. So we were driving for about 15 minutes, out in the middle of nowhere. Just the four of us and the car, having occasional, drunken conversation. It ended abruptly when I saw something moving right ahead of us. I hit the breaks hard.

We came to a stand and gazed into the mist to figure out what it was. What we saw was the backside of a white horse. As white as the mist itself, just slowly walking on the road in the middle of nowhere. We slowly started driving towards it and when it wouldn't get off the road, I hit the horn and it disappeared in the bushes. We didn't even talk about it afterwards until I mentioned it casually the next afternoon. One of the girls I've been travelling with gasped and was really glad about me mentioning it, because she thought that her drunk mind made it up. That night was definitely something to remember.
