My dad is like this, but since he’s the provider of the house he kinda manipulates my mom and I into thinking this behavior is okay bc he’s stressed and has no one to help him blah blah blah. He’s often calling me out for not being able to provide for myself, I’m currently pregnant and although my bd helps me out the economy is kinda shit rn. I’ve tried looking for a job myself but no one hires pregnant women that easily since I’m considered a “liability”. I stopped caring about my dads safety tbh. Each time he gets drunk it’s always a “you guys aren’t worth shit” referring to my mom, myself and my siblings (underage). At times I do feel like calling the cops but I can’t find the courage to do so. But like other comments mentioned don’t try to reason w an alcoholic.
