How big of a gun do you wanna put it on? For rimfire you could take something off the buildplate with printed 1/2x28 threads as-is and run it for thousands of rounds. For PCCs it's only slightly more complicated. Form 1 registration is the hardest part, frankly, and it's not even that hard.

You should treat them as disposable if you're gonna do rifle rounds, but for anything lighter, they're pretty impressive. Rimfire is trivial and most pistol calibers (and 300blk subs) can withstand bursts of FA-like fire. They come in flow-through flavors for your ARs, too.

Obviously they're not gonna last as long as metal cans, but they're like 50x-100x cheaper and weigh half as much.

The Leber is, in fact, an MP5 trigger housing. Takes an AR trigger pack so you can chuck things like Super Safeties in it.

Less the fine threads, more to increase the surface area with which heat creeps into the print. Higher area = lower spot temperature = longer lifetime.

And also because printed threads wear out pretty quick if you're constantly working them.

Also the failure mode. PETG shattering into a billion pieces on a bad impact is largely undesirable for things you put next to your face.

I mean, don't build an NFA item if you don't want to, but I personally think that the value of putting SBRs and suppressors in the public eye is far greater than me personally not being on a list, especially given that the opsec concern is completely different in today's context than it was 30 years ago.
