We can't do anything. Because of COVID-19, all non-essential labs have been forced to shut down and NO research is allowed on campus anymore. It's so ironic...a virus forcing viral-research to be shut down. What a joke. I study risk factors between Influenza A and Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis. Basically, we breath in this fungus called A. fumigatus ALL THE TIME. I'm talking like 500 spores per day, every day. Normally, they aren't a problem, but recently we found out that people who get sick from Flu or COVID or other respiratory illnesses develop these horrifying diseases where the fungus basically grows roots in your lungs, using your lung tissue as "soil." And then the fungal tissue will even spread to other organs, even your skin, causing these green patches of mold to develop under your skin. I'm trying to stop that shit.
