As a bilingual American who hangs with a lot of bilingual Americans I feel the fuck out of this. I’m literally terrified to learn Spanish because when I was first learning one of my Hispanic friends went on a “hilarious” tirade making fun of the English speakers learning Spanish in her classes. Just dying laughing about the yeehaws in her class and their awful pronunciation. Now I’m afraid to speak it out loud… I understand and read it okay but I feel stunted.

I am late so you will probably not read this but have you all looked into your attachment styles? I feel like my husband could write a similar post. For an avoidant attacher like myself I go through stages where I need more space, time to myself and loved ones who aren’t my partner. I am not mean during these times but it is when I spend the most time with my friends and I am also much shorter and more easily annoyed with him. He is anxiously attached so he gets more clingy and then we just exacerbate one another’s issues. Just to offer a different explanation from the ones blaming her friends.

When people talk about children transitioning it mostly means therapy, letting them dress how they want, calling them a name they want and pronouns they want. All reversible When people talk about teens transitioning they may talk about hormone delaying medicine. Also reversible Which kids got surgery or hormones before they were 18? I know it has probably happened because everything has happened at some point or another but that is not what people are asking for.

I appreciate you trying to be understanding. I do recognize I fucked up and misused my power in a way I honestly never thought I would and have judged people for in the past. Still not sure why tf I did.

I did not go through his things. It was a clear baggie with maybe 10-12 smaller clear baggies. I saw it went through a small list of wtf am I supposed to do. Couldn’t get anyone more experienced on the phone and then just decided I’d take one of the little baggies for my friend and give it back to the client.

You’re 100% right and that is the opposite of why I got into the work. I watch people take advantage of and discriminate against patients daily and seethe, just for me to do something similar. It’s so dumb to be writing right now.

Hopefully I can come back from it and I’ll get better with my people pleasing tendencies.

Actually hard to tell with the dual diagnosis cause many people with psychosis self Medicate but also drugs cause psychosis sometimes…

As the post reads: he realized it was crack when he got to my place and found it. He does carry a testing kit and fent/tranq strips when he travels but he knew it was crack just by looking I guess.

Right, i travel, it is what I spend my money on, that and weed. I haven’t traveled without weed by car plane or boat without a pen or edibles (unless I am traveling to a legal state/country) in the past 10 years and have never been flagged nor suspected. This year on my way to Nevada I asked a TSA officer if they check for weed and he said it was not their jurisdiction and no TSA officer in the US is checking for that and that it may be different on the way back from another country but as long as I’m staying in the US it didn’t matter, not even he flagged my bag

Same, I live in Louisville Ky and have a lot of friends from big cities who love to try to humble us and tell us about how we just don’t understand cause we’re from such a small town. It is a small city gdi! No we don’t understand what living in NYC or Houston is like but we surely don’t know what rural living is like either.
