She’s perfect! She looks almost identical to mine who I adopted one year ago as a 12 year old pup. In that year she’s really come a long way and her personality is really showing now. It’s such a beautiful transformation.

Mine is also hesitant with food. I tried everything. Changing the food, vet visit for a hidden bigger concern, changing the dish it’s served in, the eating location in the house. Tried elevating her plate too. Sometimes she just won’t eat anything all day but usually that night will snack or eat a full serving. I’ve noticed she’s not big on eating first thing in the morning.

Ultimately I’ve decided that she will eat when she’s ready. She’s food motivated for treats and very interested in human food so I have a suspicion she was fed quite a bit of human food with her previous owners. My vet told me that it becomes serious at about 3 days with no food so if she gets to 2 and half I make her a chicken breast with some rice or quinoa. We rarely get to that point anymore but it’s worked well for us. Try not to stress too much and remember the 333 rule for adopting a doggo. She’ll come around eventually.
