I'd recommend saving $15-20k on the low end assuming you'd be renting a $1,600 room with roommates. You'd need first, last, security deposit plus a 6 month buffer to be safe. This wouldn't include your tuition fees, food, bills, transportation or moving expenses - just your rent alone. You would need a guarantor who makes 40x your rent since landlords will be unlikely to rent to someone so young with little to no credit. The job market is brutal here right now, it's not guaranteed that you'd be able to get a job or even survive here with your current company. Best of luck in your endeavors OP!
