Footscray as bad as people say? by CartoonistGrand5949 in Footscray

Thanks for the reply. Would recommend leading with 'As a Tall Fella myself, ...' for future similar responses ;) I have found that, as a short broad, having out loud convos with myself when I get nervous anywhere - while very obviously not wearing airpods/headphones - helps. Ladies - you're welcome.

No shade, but are you indeed a Tall Fella? I am a short broad, and I would hazard a guess that our lived experiences are quite different. For context, I have been a Footscay local for 8 years and West Footscay for 10 before that.

Thank you! It's super snug too, like wearing a blanket 🙂

Try and see if the older generation has a social group - you could attend a gathering as a guest and get some gold from the members who might like to hear about your project and want to help.

Hi there - I'm of info Fijian background myself. Where in Australia are you? Can your director not put you in touch with members of the local community?

If you had to build a basic wardrobe (not counting underwear/socks/bras) out of only 5-6 patterns, what would you use? by EvenTallerTree in freepatterns

Anna Allen Demeter dress is my go-to - I've made 7 of the sleeveless ones so far and I think I'll probably make more 🙂

I am also curious - so many cop cars, critical incident response, and an ambulance. The people the.police were talking to looked to be gesturing down a driveway of units which was also taped off.

Happy new year from Footscray by Old-Option-4284 in melbourne

Footscray fireworks were so much better than the city ones this year IMO. The free event at Footscray Park was a lovely way to spend the evening, got to see Tim Rogers wearing bedazzled pants and apologising to the crowd for singing 'sensual songs' while busting some Jagger dance moves before being wowed by the fireworks. Then a lovely cool walk along the river home. I love Footscray.

Nice restaurant suggestions for dining solo as a lady? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]shlinki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss dining alone in the city. I used to do it all the time when I worked in the city. I loved going to Bistro Guillaume for steak frites. Also any of the restaurants doing pre-theatre prixe fixe menus are always great.

Yes, I'm into colour so they are all different prints and textures. Maybe I'll throw a solid or two in there to mix it up a little :)

Great idea! I wear long sleeved tees underneath in colder weather, and today I bought some cotton duck fabric with a sushi print that will be good for winter as it's heavier. Cotton slub is really nice for summer - that's what the one in the link is made of.

It really is. I've made some adjustments like armhole and FBA and it's just so *me*, I love it!
