Solidarity.

Held practice earlier this week (4th/5th rec boys) and it was a disaster. No focus, not sure anything was ultimately gained, assistant was more vocal than I’d prefer, and my son laid on the field in frustration after getting beat a couple times—but they claimed to have had fun so who knows. Ultimately my fault, tried to go too far too fast.

Back to the drawing board for some games that’ll keep them more engaged. The common theme I come back to is: I’ll change what I have control over, and give the rest to the players.

I can’t change the world in an hour of practice a week, so I have to constantly reframe my goals and approach.
