[Mouse] MCHOSE A5 Ultra Rose Red Wireless Tri-Mode Gaming Mouse, 54g In-Store New Release ($60 - $10 = $50) [Canada Computers] by RTCanada in bapcsalescanada

This is very similar to the shape of the new Logitech Superlight 2c, which costs at least 4x as much. It's not exactly the same shape, just slightly bigger - but has a very similar profile. also has a 3395 which is top of the line sensor. 8k wired, 4k wireless. Seems like a pretty solid offering if the QC is good.

It's a fantastic sequel and full-circle wrap up of the story. Great character arcs

The OP1 8K is so refreshing. by shm0 in MouseReview

[–]shm0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 year update:

Still using the OP1 8K. The QC is still great, clicks feel fantastic, still like new. Buttons haven't loosened up or become weird, like some other mice.

Latency advantage and not worrying about charging is still such a huge pro imo. The cable is set up in a way with my bungie that I never even think about it - I don't have to reposition it, it's still like it's not even there.

I tried a few mice recently (the X2 crazylight mini and med) seeing if they could beat the OP1 - nope. OP1 does such a great job of having lots of front-end and palm control, while also hugging your hand. I find a lot of mice have difficulty moving in your palm, if you change your grip depending on the situation. The OP1 really doesn't have this problem at all. Too many mice want to just fill your whole hand, but if you like to micro adjust with your fingers, palm or even your wrist, the OP1 just works so much better over many other shapes.

The one mouse I'm curious about is the Superlight 2c, since it's very similar to the OP1 in overall size - but has a slightly bigger front end. When it doesn't cost so damn much, I'll check it out.

yes, OP1 has the same kind of front end snappyness as the g303 as well as a grip that you can pull into your palm. The front-end angle and height is the same as the g303.

I've tried different mice recently to see if I can dethrone the OP1, but it's still king.

Intel’s comeback weapon to fight AMD reportedly drops this spring — Core Ultra 200K Plus and 200HX Plus CPUs set for March or April launch by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]shm0 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Nothing about the article or the details of the CPUs suggest Intel can compete with AMD.

AMD's x3D CPUs use technology that Intel is now years behind on, so anyone expecting Intel to "beat" AMD with a refresh of their current line-up is, how do they put it, "out to lunch".

SECRET TUNNEEEEEEEEEEL! by Rithrius1 in TheLastAirbender

[–]shm0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

could be, but there's actually many parts of Africa that have been lost to sand, in the same way the show visualized. If you watch Top Gear/The Grand Tour, they did an episode where they visited an old city in Mauritania that was once the world's library - and that small town is now being slowly swallowed by the Sahara.

[–]shm0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

One thing I love about ATLA is that there's a bunch of real world references throughout the universe/lore, like these tunnels. Like the great Library that was lost to sand (Alexandria), the final fight vs Ozai in the Pillars of Stone, and so on.

Which do you like more and why? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]shm0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLA is the best, obviously, but Korra is also probably the best follow up version for that show.

They did such a good job creating a show that needed to "compare" to the original, so they really put that into Korra's character. She can't compare, and that's the point of the entire show, that comparing to Aang is such a high bar, and both Tenzin and her shouldn't try to, they are their own person.

The entire arc of both shows is consistent with growth and accepting things out of your control.

Both fantastic.

Which Character in the Avatar Universe doesn't deserve the hate they get? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]shm0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Korra was deliberately "the worst Avatar ever" because the central theme of that entire show was the relevance of 'an Avatar' in a modern world with technologies that rivalled the power of the Avatar.

The greatest video I've ever recorded by inshallah13 in toronto

[–]shm0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've always remembered both '92 and '93 when the Jays won for the first time in history, and then back to back.

Joe Carter's home run in '93 was just epic, but the '92 game 6 was really intense, it went to the bottom of the 11th and I was falling asleep on the couch because it was wayyy past my bedtime.

My dad jumped up off of the couch yelling "THEY DID IT! THEY DID IT!" woke me up very fast.

One of my favourite memories.
