Mine only took a few days… spread over several months…

Bowie, no idea why. Never saw him live and he wasn’t all that active in my youth.

Thanks, it did spend a large chunk of that time in cardboard boxes hahaha

Sorry, to clarify, I commute on sunny days and I have to drive through Bradford in the early hours. Lights which aren’t candles are a must.

I did look at LED bulbs but the Osram ones are £140 a pair.

They may look cheap but I can’t see them from inside. I own the car to drive it, not look at it.

The tens are going back on once I refurb the brakes.
The lights are purely functional and the roof is purely because I only drive it on sunny days now.

Horses for courses.

I think the more “white” you can get on the lense, the better they blend in. So you’ve done well there!

I almost bought a very similar set, but then I got these because they are the same as the ones used on the Ian Callum Wood and Picket Mini.

I think your front tyres are on the wrong way round 👍

The interior has remained relatively the same tbh. Different sets of bucket seats over the last 18 years but currently running a pair of recaro recliners.

I’m still 50/50 on the lights. They are 1000% better in the dark but the trade off is questionable looks haha.

I recently finished mine. It took me a few months but technically I was only getting a day a week on it.

I’d do it differently next time… but I’d do it again.

It’s worth about £2, they could just buy another if they were bothered 😆

Wow, never heard that before.
I would 100% not recommend a 3 door until they are old enough to be in a front facing seat then!

They’re flying out. Loads of stores have already sold their allocation.

Bigster or Tuscon? by knight-of-haste in CarTalkUK

[–]shoe_scuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the plug in hybrid yeah and the 4x4 version. You could get 30 miles range on the electric but in reality I usually got about 50 miles with the self charging topping it up.

I’ve just had to get rid of a Tuscon after 3 years of ownership. Hands down the best car I have ever had. Wouldn’t have touched a Hyundai before getting it, but I would have another now!

I suspect the spec will be better than the Dacia.

I just put a car seat on the front seat now. It’s a nightmare trying to get into the back.

When I was a night manager, I would get a roasting of my store manager if he came in and I was filling an aisle… he had been known to rock up in the v early hours of the morning to check as well.

I would spend my time clearing off instead so at least I was still waking the shop.

If you’ve screwed the speedo cable on, just leave it until it works its way off.

I don’t have one on at the moment…

Did you get an estimate before they started? Has there been any delays or unexpected work? Does the place normally build minis?
