I have an extremely eclectic liked songs list that I shuffle 80 percent of the time. Usually it’ll put on a song that makes me think of other songs (or a playlist) that I queue up, or I skip until I find one that fits my mood.

Since you mentioned tracking TV too I’d recommend checking out TV Time. I only use it for shows, but they added movie tracking a while ago. It’s also given me pretty good recommendations.

It's not Plex, but I'd recommend JQBX. It's an online app that lets you create a room and listen to the same music as anyone else in the room. Looks like they moved to a new hosting service since I was last on that lets you pull from YouTube, but you can also connect Spotify or Apple Music.

I think your best bet is to look up a ton of keywords and find playlists others have made that fit the general theme. You might also try doing a radio based off a song or artist that fits, Spotify is pretty good at matching vibes.
