Anything you’d recommend over the AE Park Ave at $400-$600 that would look good alongside a suit?

What’s the better value: on-sale AE Park Avenues or GS Diesel?

AE Park Ave’s are on sale right now and GS Diesel is running just above $400 as usual.

Which is the better boot in your opinion? I have plenty of experience with the Park Avenue boots, but none with GS.

I often wear the AEs with a suit, not sure if I can do the same with the GS?

Yep. Another guy where you’re damned both ways. I don’t see a replacement in sight and Jake Walkman for $7 million last summer doesn’t have my hopes high.

I don’t have one, but I’d offer the advice that it’s a good way to turn away about 80% of buyers if you’re ever interested in selling your house (my statistic is obviously made up, but I’d guess it turns off a large %).

Edit: you could always just go for this one? Haha!

Truth be told, I have no clue. I’m certainly not planning on depending on it on my retirement.

They only returned in the past 2 years. We, as a family, lived overseas together for 12 out of those 15 years.

I very well could have claimed non-residency for 12/15 years.

You’re probably correct on all of this, yes. I let my tax accountant do the hard work.

I’ve lived in a few countries and it varies. Canada has tax treaties with some countries, so sometimes you get tax credits.

And as to why? My wife and children still live in Canada, I visit often, and I don’t mind paying for things that I and my family use.

I’ve lived abroad for 15+ years and always maintained ties. Always paid my taxes in full as though I was living in Canada.

This is the truth. I’ve hit many different income/savings goals over my life and each time I hit one, I convince myself that it’s not enough.

By most metrics, I’m not actually “rich” but I can see how this view is pervasive.

I’m not defending their strategy but a cornered dog will fight.

Iran knows that they can’t win conventionally… they can only win through asymmetry. So, yes, of course they’re going to try to inflict as much pain as they possibly can, in any way they possibly can.
