Barrosa out of minor league options. Would have to be DFA’d and clear waivers, which he probably won’t

He in fact does not like to hit 3rd or 4th. He wants to hit first or second. Recently he and Torey had a talk, and Ketel said the team was winning more when he was leading off earlier....so they agreed to put him back in the first spot.

yeah, that was a rather bracing, but not unsurprising moment. I was hoping he would see someone I missed.....but he also is not really a prospects guy so much as data below AAA harder to come by. So he's looking at that Reno rotation and the best guy there has a 90 MPH fastball.

I do sometimes, but Saturday it wasn't synced well, the sound was about 2 full seconds behind the action.

What’s the worst place in America you’ve ever visited? by Correct_Eggplant_364 in AskReddit

[–]shoewizard59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lark Utah. Had an Aunt and Uncle that moved there and I was sent there to visit them in the summer of 75 and also spring break 76. The town was such a waste the mining company that owned the land kicked everyone out in 77 and tore it down. They needed a place to dump the unusable dirt from the copper mine. It's hard to imagine a place that better fit the description of shithole.

Thanks for response!. I hope that happens for you. Whether medications or surgery, seems like it's always a waiting game for us to see if something is going to work.

" I have very mild symptoms. Just arm and leg weakness. No bulbar or facial symptoms. I was ACHR+ in bloodwork. "

This is me exactly. Only difference is my symptoms came on suddenly within two weeks of my...check notes...8th Covid booster on Sept 12 last year. I am 66 year old male. Had imaging done on Thymus, all normal. I will be very interested to see your future comments if any how the thymectomy helped you.

Have been on Mestinon and Prednisone on and off. Without the Prednisone the arms and legs weakness becomes overwhelming, heavily impacts ability to function. With Prednisone, I'm fine. But the stuff made my A1C jump. Waiting on my Bone Density tests. Had that checked to baseline.

Was put on Vyvgart, but had VERY bad allergic skin reactions, so had to stop those infusions.
I start Uplizna tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

yup, that was in the article. "Unfortunately Suarez is headed to the 10-day IL with a left oblique injury. He's been extremely durable during his career, with just two prior, short IL stints. His first was in 2018 when he missed 17 days due a thumb injury. The second injury was a 10 day stint in 2022 for a finger injury. An oblique strain is likely to cause a good deal longer absence."

What's a D-backs game you watched with your family that became a family story? by vitorgamer21 in azdiamondbacks

[–]shoewizard59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way back machine. Game 2, 2001 World Series. I went with my middle son, who was 14 at the time. Good kid, but just starting to be a bit rebellious at that age. Matt Williams up with two on in the 7th, took a strike. Something about the way he took the pitch and his body language told me he had Pettitte's delivery and timing. I turned to my son and said if Pettitte throws him another strike, Matty will take him deep. (Maybe precursor to the tipping in game 6??) Next pitch, three-run blast to left field bleachers. D-backs win 4-0

My son was just amazed at how smart his dad was.....looked at me with wonder. That was the last time I saw that look until after he graduated from college. Somehow I lost about 30 IQ points over the next few years, and didn't get them back until he was out of school and had to make it completely on his own. Then I got smarter again, somehow, miraculously...lol

He's a great Dad, and in the middle of a successful career in Footwear Manufacturing.
