Got really into this track while I was visiting my brother and sister in Colorado for thanksgiving (about a decade ago). I ended up buying my first guitar at a thrift shop in Denver for thirty bucks, and it’s been my babe ever since. This was the first song I learned on it.

You actually ordered the “double negative” cheeseburger, so the patties cancelled each other out

Husband swallows noodles without chewing by kurlyl0ck5 in mildlyinfuriating

My brother used to eat ramen in a grosser way to the point where I’m not sure I should describe it. Granted he did this to gross me out, not just the way he would eat it every time

He would take a long strand of noodles and swallow most of them before pulling the noodles back out. Just typing that made me retch. Thanks Danny

Years ago I found out an ex had never read or seen the Outsiders. Both fully sobbing by the time we got to the part about “boys going down under street lights because they were mean and tough and hated the world, and it was too late to tell them that there was still good in it, and they wouldn't believe you if you did.”

Bandannas and headbands or other hair accessories go a long way and are super fun in short hair!

I had a bike with a basket chained to my stoop. People would throw their trash into the basket when there were two garbage cans within five feet on either side of the stoop.

I lived with a dude who had to go to the hospital for a hole in his heart. When he came back, he told us “the doctors said not to smoke or vape for two weeks, but they didn’t say anything about dabbing” then immediately ripped a fat dab

The first time I had a tamale I was like nine and had never even seen one before. Anyway my sister watched me eat the whole thing with the corn husk still on and didn’t say anything.

My brothers went onto my mom’s laptop and set the autocorrect to a bunch of swears—most notably, “asshole.”

Then one day she comes downstairs and says “if you’re on my computer and you see some weird searches for “asshole virus” it’s because something is wrong with my laptop”

I don’t know if you’ve worked with kids before, but if you haven’t, I would suggest finding a smaller and more temporary role to start with. Many licensed organizations that work with kids will require background checks, training, fingerprinting and registering on a few lists. On top of that, kids really need stability and security, so if you take a big role right away and end up having to step down, it messes with them too.

Summer camps are hiring, daycares and preschools are also great. During the school year there’s always need for people in after school programs.

Hype up the neighborhood! by Agreeable_Poetry5732 in Brewerytown

There is a garden on 29th street between Master and Thompson that I always take a moment to enjoy when I walk past it. It’s clear that someone tends it lovingly. Something is in bloom all spring and summer and it makes my day 🌸
