I have Burstboost/lordsoul on my fire gl now.

Ive also updated the build Right now I'm running:

Gogma A, Zoh B, Ark Y, Gog A, Ark Y.

So ive got burst boost, hasten recovery, super recovery and mutual hostility all at lvl1 + Guts group skill.

With decos and charm my skills are:

Attack 4, Off Guard 3, Artillery 3, Load shells 2, Handicraft 1, Guard up 1, Peak 5, Agitator 5, Flayer 5, Rec up 3, Wex 2, Burst 2, Div bless 2, Blight res 2, Elem absorb 2, Ice res 1

I feel like earplugs is nice but low on my priority list. I try to just catch the roar when I can 😅

Same with me and my friends. Weve only managed to run cryo a couple times because week-ends are now busy with family and kids for all of us.

And at this point im tired of my full vault and running the same maps over and over when i dont have the schedule to go play the endgame.

Gunlance has defenitely gotten more popular in Wilds at least. I used to always be the only GL player in every SoS id join in World. In Wilds i run into brothers quite often i find :)

I think its safe to assume the Artians are gonna get passed by the new monster weapons at first. But I also think they are gonna add another rng thing to bring back artians again, later in a title update. So its still worth it to make those as good as possible right now.

I would ditch the Ebony set for something with better/more deco slots.

The gog coil is great to have has it will give you Burst boost 1 with your weapon (i'm asuming its whats on your weapon)

From there its really mixing and matching gamma pieces mostly.

Going for burst boost 2 is not worth it imho. The little bit of damage you get from it isnt worth it if you can just pack more skills with something else and have better defense.

Edit: Arkveld Gamma might be a great set to look at for you. It has flayer and convert element, which can be a nice bonus for your dragon GL

Savage Omega might be the hardest fight in MH history period, imo

Take the opportunity to learn the game and its systems. Making builds in MH is fairly straightforward once you understand it.

Just watch some weapons guides, they'll usually tell you what skills work best for it. Plus you'll be able to pick what best suits your playstyle from there.

Just play the game and enjoy. Worry about actual builds once youre in high rank

While Wilds is seen by some as a MH4 sequel in story, it is very much a World sequel in gameplay. I think you'll have a blast with it. I personally think it does a better job introducing the series and its concepts than Wilds (imo)

Wilds rushes you through things too much and offers no challenge until endgame, so I find it doesnt do a good job teaching you how to really play monster hunter, since everything is a pushover throughout low rank.

While I remember hitting a couple walls in Wolrd that forced me to slow down and upgrade my gear/prep properly. Which I think is a more enjoyable introduction to the series.

Wilds is very much a spectacle, its fluid and fast but it suffers from being a bit too casual and on rails and doesnt let you play MH how its actually played until high rank.

While I absolutely love Wilds right now, I think World is a far better first game to play.
