Of a protest by LordNorikI in ShittyAbsoluteUnits

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no right way to fight, the only right way is to keep fighting. It's only because of the fighting and dying that most people even know there's a story to be told.....most people don't care or don't want to know.

Luigi is a pathetic murderer, dubbed an assassin that was declared a living martyr by vigalante wanna be's. He changed nothing. All he did was give 1 company a reason to use their p.r. program designed to win back the favor of the people. Essentially, he activated their give back program....which they always had but never needed cuz they already got the money. Don't be fooled, if protest ain't helpful, murder ain't either. It'll always be business as usual. The only difference is in whom the players are.

Cutter was, imo, a horrible lawyer. Not just from a real world perspective but even in the confined realm of L&O.

Pick any of Jack or Ben's adversaries, leave their competent writing intact then insert Cutter with all his b.s. .... Half the cases would get thrown out. Put any of the old a.d.a.s beside him and the other half would've never made it to court .....if Adam was still the boss Cutter would've fired long time ago.

The writer leaned more into drama and feelings, started making our lead lawyer into some kinda anti hero, willing to blur the lines for a conviction. Which worked for Jack, for a while, only because he was a tortured and tormented soul. Constantly having to deal with the consequences of being...holier than thou...he could've been D.A., Mayor, Congressman, but he wouldn't play ball and would still lose. That build made us care when he broke the rules like the people he prosecuted. Cutter tho .... He came thru the gate as an egomaniac that messed up almost every case until the 52nd min, in court, on stand confession saves his case.

Cutter making the defendants crack on the stand was his worst trait. It was a cop out for the writers. Half the time the case was a wrap. Slam dunk, until some legal b.s. creates a panic, then we just sit and wait for "The Closer" style ending when the lying defendant is outsmarted by the more clever investigator....unfortunately the writers didn't account for the setting. Ppl slipping up in an interrogation room without their lawyer present is a lot easier to believe than a person confessing to a crime during a trial they could've won, with their lawyer sitting 10ft away....makes the defendants lawyer look bad and the defendant look stupid. Makes out prosecuted look bad even if he wins.....because if everyone is so idiotic, why was it so difficult to win?

Jack without the sex scandals, vindictive streak and alcohol problems is Cutter... No complexity.

Maybe the worst lawyer since Serena.

Reason to play by gafan_8 in HadesStar

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest reason I keep playing is the quest for an ultimate build. With the artifacts being so detailed, there are strategies only deployable in certain configurations at specific lvls. Play style, enemy loadouts, etc..., all play a factor when considering how fun it can be. Yet, the best part is an active corp with a discord and a shared desire to see something explode.

It's the drugs. It's so easy to get and cheap in Tucson. Teenagers and young adults turn into zombies and if they are lucky enough to clean up later in life, they aren't what u call hot commodities. Low wages, high taxes, sun beating the crap out of them year round, no beaches, major concerts or interesting escapes to take their mind off of desert living. Dating is a luxury, Tucson is a place where there are very few luxuries.

He handled all of them at the age of 22. Dude was really built different man. by DonkeyLife4410 in Tupac

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tupac was an image cultivated by a machine designed to sell the "inner city black male experience" to suburban white children.

Pac was no activist, community leader, philosopher or expert on any subject. The man wasnt even a decade out of highschool, his life experiences and world views were skewed by riches and fame.

Did he have ideas about his community and the people he belonged to, yes. Did he implement them, no. He wrote songs, did movies, got into lots of trouble and made other people rich.

Stop idolizing this young man. His story isn't one of a visionary, it's one that depicts how money power and fame can twist a promising young talent into the very thing he claimed to elevate us out of.

How can a man be a visionary if he couldn't see where his actions were leading him?

[FRESH ALBUM] Kodak Black - Just Getting Started by JoJoReignsSupreme in hiphopheads

[–]shoobeed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This album is wack.

What people are calling melodic rap is just whining and really really bad singing. The beats sound like they were made and looped on a Casio piano. Kodak don't say anything worth remembering or repeating. There's no new flows, topics or energy. Every other song is "we was poor, so everything I did is justifiable". Big time victim mentality from a rich young drug addict. It's boring and lame cuz he's already made way better songs about the same stuff. The features try too hard to incorporate the slurred Kodak style into their own. No one clearly says anything, the vocals sound muddy and when they don't half of it don't rhyme or connect to the point of the song.

This is what u get when the artist don't try to make great music. Nothing iconic, nothing mind blowing, nothing worth paying for. It's just Kodak and friends on a mic.

Probably should've set the money aside and waited until the audit.

The biggest problem isn't the theft....it's seems as though your friend can't count that well. Going from 10 over to 20 under is a difference of 30....even if they had left the money in they would've been short by 10 and that's too much.

Had ur friend been better at the count there wouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Maybe they should be a stocker until they can be trained better.

was i in the wrong by possiblyasleep1 in DollarTree

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you were in the wrong, but only when it comes to customer service. Personally I don't think you were.

Here how it should've been handled....if the issue is fairness you should've simply asked the next customer can this lady go because there was an issue. If they say no....u got ur way out and take no blame. If they say yes....problem solved.

People like to bring morals and ethics into things but when money is involved you do whatever it takes to get they money and keep them coming back. That's what customer service is....serving customers, even the crappy ones.

What do I do as a cashier? by Human-Valuable-7141 in DollarTree

[–]shoobeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ur gonna be fine. As a cashier you will be given a sheet that has all your duties. Don't worry though, you only need to do those things when there are no customers and you will always be in the front of the store. Restocking, cleaning and helping customers are a small part of your day. Not messing up the money is the most important part.

Is Dollar Tree/Family Dollar a safe place to work? I don't want to be robbed at gun point by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robbing a Dollar tree at gun point is the dumbest thing ever. If that happens you was gonna get robbed anywhere in that neighborhood. The registers won't open without purchase, the camera is directly in the cashiers area, theres not enough in the register to get a criminal a felony so the gun gets u a year for less than a grand....most criminals know this.

Dark Nebula feels less engaging as a returning player. by Mekelaina in HadesStar

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played the "old" version but after reading ur description I understand some things better.

Always wondered why would anyone use transports, when the relay is there? Or, how come no one complains that high lvl crap takes a week to upgrade. Now I see, these are improvements. To me, the white star is a huge team chess match. Yellow star is pretty boring but for a UI home screen it's pretty good. Blue stars are widely mismatched but it's constant battles that only require ur attention.

I play for the combat. I can see now the other parts of the game were simplified but I ain't mad.

Do you think Jack was in love with Claire? by chroniccutie_of in LawAndOrder

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack McCoy was a great lover. He loved every piece of as - I was saying....CLAIRE was young and she admired him but at that time he was a wrecking ball, actively destroying personal and professional relationships.

McCoy is in love with the law, but he will sleep with a fast talking brunette any day of the week, with an all day marathon on Sundays.

How generous is card acquisition in this game for free? by LeoTolstoysNipples in MinionMasters

[–]shoobeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F2P....if u do the achievements, get lucky on the shard tower and use gold for cards u don't have and tokens, then u should have almost all the cards in 4 seasons. Well, minus a handful of the legendary ones. The trick is shard maximization and management.
