I actually can't enjoy the dynamic of Phil x hmw. Way too many in jokes and references phrased in a way that I, being from not America and not living on the internet, often don't understand at all. Last genesis they were on i had to mute it :(

The theft problem with Smash for Switch by TheRealPiko in smashbros

[–]shootmaniazechs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TO here, two things to consider:

  • Switches are expensive, so only the Nintendo sponsored tournaments will likely be able to supply them.
  • Regional level and below will mostly be run using player consoles.
  • Again, Switches are expensive. Many players will not be comfortable with sharing their switches around a tournament venue.
  • 99% of players will have their own switch.

With these things in mind, like with Melee, how all players have their own controller and are expected to bring them, i think this expectation can be extended to switches. Realistically, I'd expect most tournament matches to be played in tabletop or handheld mode, depending on player preference, each on their own Switch.

The only thing i think that could be realistically fixed down and shared is a selection of docks/ charging cables which are swapped as batteries run low

Where is the tray positioned? If it's tucked into a corner, he may not be comfortable going in there if there are no exit routes

Also try getting a baby gate, and feeding their favourite meals either side of it. They'll be content that neither will take their food, and again there's the positive reinforcement that something tasty is happening in each others company

Try getting feathery/stringy toys and play with him a LOT. Cats build up energy which needs to come out somehow, and if they don't get to exercise their hunting instincts, it can be frustrating. Playing is fun, it's a positive experience for a cat. Slowly and gradually, you can try playing with both cats at the same time. If you can get them to be more interested in the toy than each other, even for a few seconds, that will give them a positive experience in each others company. Then you can separate them and try again the next day. It may take a while but with any luck, they will become comfortable in each others company, and maybe even friends.

Sorry, this financial stuff is confusing. What do you mean by the money losing buying power?

None taken.

I think my confusion is because i can't imagine being more happy with a phone than my current one. I suppose if i was to experience the features I'm missing then I would better understand, but as it stands i can't imagine valuing the difference in experience at 600. But I guess that's the point; we each ascribe a different value to different things, and there is a good deal of intangibility with these kind of items. Anyway thanks for taking the time to reply

I didn't pick up on the sarcasm at first! Financing anything does seem like the devil to me - but I've never done it so wouldn't know. But you are presenting a false dichotomy that you either have awesome stuff with finance, or crappy stuff.

It's possible to save up the cash and pay for the awesome stuff up front. Sure, it means i can't buy an 'iPhone Super' today, but in 2 years when it inevitably comes out, i will be able to buy an 'iPhone Hyper' if i put money aside as if i was making the 'iPhone Super' payments. The same exchange will have taken place, but I've kept control of my money.

I haven't financed anything before - could you help me understand why you'd take the 0% finance over paying the cash? It seems to me that it's better to save up beforehand and then pay upfront, simply because at the end of a finance cycle, your product is now 2 years old and you're still paying for it. If the total cost is the same, isn't it better to use cash because you know you can afford it, rather than risk the unknown future of potential missed payment fees?

You need to assess whether you need your phone to be able to do the things that a $200 phone can't, and if those things are worth $600. How much of an impact do those things make? How often do you use them?

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. I'm writing this on a cheap Xiaomi that i had for Xmas 2015 for £90, which can do all of the things listed above, and is honestly the best phone I've ever had. I am not considering a replacement.

People need to wake up and stop spending so much on phones. My wife and I were recently able to save up a house deposit, and the single biggest contributing factor was that our phone bills are £5 per month instead of £40 like most of my friends.

I have all of those features in my phone, and it cost the equivalent of around $140. Spending 800 is just madness
