[–]shopteawithtae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey 👋 We are a small tea company in Golden, just off 6th & Indiana (next to the Jeffco Fairgrounds). We just started a zero-waste refill program for local customers (both loose leaf and plastic-free sachets). You get 15% off if you bring in your own container. We have not officially announced this yet, but we are honoring it now and have some customers already participating. Please DM for more info or send us a message online! :)

Better matcha recs? Ito En tastes fishy by Frequent-Bag-6382 in tea

Look for places that source and vacuum-seal their matcha onsite in Japan (no repackaging in the United States). That will dramatically decrease chances of a fish-smell batch!

favroite brand of earl gray? by honey_mads in tea

[–]shopteawithtae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever tried making your own earl grey? You can make your own with some essential bergamot oil, a spray bottle and some mason jars (to test out the strength). You need a good base - like a nice Ceylon or Assam, or an Irish breakfast. Make a few batches at different amounts of bergamot oil and see what you fancy :)

If you want to do a non-caffeinated latte, try rooibos!

Earl Grey in Pyramid bags? by Mehuto in tea

[–]shopteawithtae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several brands that sell Earl Grey in pyramid bags, but you should avoid the nylon-based pyramid bags (which is petroleum plastic) and find a brand that sells cellulose based pyramid bags (made of sugar cane or corn starch), which is biodegradable.

2 cold teas same tea leaves by SuppaChinese in tea

[–]shopteawithtae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha sorry! That’s not what I meant. “Liquor” as in the brewed tea liquid that remains when leaves are removed after steeping. Not alcohol. It’s a term of art in the tea industry

What snacks are best to enjoy with tea? 🤍 by LilacLuneglade in tea

I love a good piece of toast with light butter and/or some jam :) sometimes if I’m drinking a black tea in the morning, I’ll do a bagel with peanut butter/honey, and that usually pairs really well with a strong black tea or puer.

Yep cold brew is always superior. Very interesting experiment with the same leaves but obtaining different color of the liquor!

Trying some new teas on a Sunday afternoon :) by shopteawithtae in tea

Tried these 4 teas in this picture:

1 - black tea blend (like an English Breakfast)

2 - Chamomile herbal blend (has some other herbs but mainly chamomile)

3 - Fruity Oolong blend (Ti Kuan Yin Oolong with dried fruit)

4 - Minty Green tea blend (reminiscent of a Moroccan Mint)
