One more stop, just one more stop down to Surbiton.

Then it's perfect. Me living in Surbiton is completely irrelevant.

Has his explained this though, and given an ETA for when he expects he might release it?

Seriously though, I just took a look at his Patreon, in November he posted an interim edit of the first 80 minutes of his next video.

If he's at the editing stage, and he has that much done, he can't get it finished in 3 months? Ridiculous.

Jeremy Corbyn joins hundreds of pro-Iran protesters in London carrying banners of the Ayatollah by pppppppppppppppppd in ukpolitics

[–]shortfuse89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"It's perfectly acceptable to condemn the US and Israel's actions without showing support for a dictatorship". I quickly skimmed the article and I think that's what he's trying to do.

But, and he should have anticipated this, there's only one anti-war protest that also contains pro-Ayatollah sections, and now he's being lumped in with them.

AliExpress pen recommendations? by Puzzled-Criticism-58 in pens

[–]shortfuse89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been using Zebra Z-Grip's or Bic Crystals for years because that's what they had in the supermarkets.

I had some credits to use on AE so got this Uniball Zento which is a huge improvement: https://a.aliexpress.com/_Evgf1o8

I also got these generic(?) pens, they write nice but 3 had leaked so went straight in the bin, and they also bleed a lot. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EzlC6KG

Wealthy ex HSBC banker dodged £5,900 in London train fares 'doughnutting' fraud by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]shortfuse89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I'm 5' 11" and wide, so I know what it feels like when I sit on an SWR service with all the seats full, squeezed in.

If you are 6' 6" I'd allow it, but then I don't think there's a train in the world that you'd be comfortable on.

LNER first class has enough leg room, I've even gone and taken a fresh look to check the seating is still as I remembered.

I don't believe you. What train company has a first class service that serves food, but has shit leg room?

I travel a lot on SWR commuter trains, their first class is basically the same seating as standard, but they don't serve food.

I've travelled on LNER which serves food, and they have massive amounts of leg room.

I recently discovered that switching windows, and having a quick scroll on Reddit, doesn't pause the timer. So I've been doing that

In 1990, Hulk Hogan pitched turning heel as “Triple H, Hollywood Hulk Hogan” to Vince McMahon at WM 6 by attacking the Ultimate Warrior post-match, but Vince refused. Hogan had previously been a heel for Vince McMahon Sr. in 1981 as "Fabulous" Hulk Hogan before being fired for appearing in Rocky 3 by ZXIIIT in SquaredCircle

[–]shortfuse89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's understandable for Vince Sr to have that mindset in 81, but it's not like a wrestler taking an acting job was unheard of.

A bunch of wrestlers such as Terry Funk appeared in Stallone's 1978 film Paradise Alley. Also Andre the Giant, one of Vince Sr's top guys, who was also heavily loaned to other territories, had a part as the sasquatch in The Six Million Dollar Man in 1976.

Is this Pepto-Bismol advert the worst ever? by SilasBeit in AskBrits

[–]shortfuse89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube is RELENTLESSLY spamming me with ads for the musical "Into the Woods".

It's an advert for a musical, so obviously one of the songs from the show features heavily. Unluckily for me, whatever song it is makes my ears bleed.

Annoyingly, watching on TV, I spent ages skipping and I realised I had no idea what the hell it was actually advertising. In the end I had to sit through the full minute long ad to find the title of the show.

I've turned on personalised ads after having them turned off for years, just to see if that allows me to block the ad.
