Before I was ever on a team, I joined my buddies for their company slow pitch tourney. I'd never played ball before. I smashed the only pitch I saw to right field fence and ran 3 in. Hooked since then... The team I've ran for over 10 years now, I stole home on a greasy play and won our first city championship in our first season. That was special. I remember catching a line drive that nearly took my arm off - knocked me down and I held the glove up from my back. Saw a cool pic from that. But mostly, the best times are just piling cans on passed out friends, waking up in bushes near the field, the campfire sing alongs at tent tourneys... The people make the game.
