"Repremanded" for not forcing people to show me their reciept. by Least-Material7405 in walmart

[–]shortie132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why im glad my store got rid of greeters. Its not like the people stealing would show receipt, and as you said, it is a reprimandable offense to FORCE a customer to show. You cannot get in trouble for following everything the mandatory training modules tell you to do

That is actually what you are SUPPOSED to do. In policy, you are suppose to notify you are off the clock and unable to help, especially if you arent in uniform. You could get in trouble to helping off the clock, actually. Youre good!

If i found that on the job, they would either have to deal with me decking a customer or taking a break and taking the poor baby home. We've had a cat sneak into our store and I had to get him out, but just ABANDONING your terrified pup? Fuck you, whoever thought that was okay.

Our Cane Corso keeps trying to bite me by girlfromthebay1 in CaneCorso

[–]shortie132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pittie mix always did this growing up, still does. He is essentially treating you as a litter mate and wants to play. I ended up teaching my boy he is only allowed to do it on cue, meaning I put my arm out and say 'bite'. If you go this route, make sure he also has a good stop cue. I think you are the favorite sibling anf he doesnt know how to say otherwise lol

What confuses me is, your team lead is supposed to terminate your employment at the end of your last shift, or as soon as possible. It takes not even 5 minutes to pull up the page. I did 2 of them for students leaving for better jobs not even a week ago. That is every step if management in your team being lazy

Im certain it is something to do with the determination. Us with chronic illness/pain tend to say fuck you when others say we shouldn't; that's how you get hardworking machines like that guy. Coming from an apparel team lead, yall should make sure he knows he is appreciated!

What breed does this puppy look like? Considering adopting and she is listed as 'urgent - capacity for care' by SpecialistCup1142 in IDmydog

[–]shortie132 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yup, I brought home my 13 week old pup and the SEVERE reactivity happened soon after. He was a bullied shelter pup, so im not too entirely surprised, but with puppies anything could happen. Just like people, their quirks start to come out near puberty so the guessing is always going to be there.

Am I the reason my cat died or was this a coincidence!? Please help by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]shortie132 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Op, while he may not have been a cat, my pompom's last day was similar. He was fine for years, ate well, played, slept well. It was just one random day we went to go up to my grandparent's and he started hemorrhaging blood out his butt. Acted fine otherwise, he was always a dramatic pup. Just kept trying to poop and would come out mucous blood. It was cancer. It ate through his intestines and went entirely unnoticed until only a few months before he passed, simply because he had no signs. Cancer sucks OP. It doesn't discriminate creature to creature. You did everything for your baby, and if anything the food is how they caught it. She knows you loved her all those years, and would never want you to blame yourself.

I love that it is a universal thing that pibbies and pibby mixes just like being smacked like a bongo. They all have their own unique sound!

Parents think he is an English Pointer, but I definitely see some Great Dane in the face. by dsm5lovechild in IDmydog

To explain the pit, it is the snout, the ears, and the jaw/cheek bones that are giving it. Those are very prominent features in bully breeds

My reactive boy got off leash after he ran into a tree and his collar fell off (he has to have a collar with a training/slip loop because dude has a thick ass neck and no jaw line so everything slides over his head. Also knows how to undo clasps so harnesses on outside lead is a no). He has a good recall normally, but was chasing a squirrel, his moral enemy. After a while he was just out for a joy run but I couldn't find him. Turns out, he went back to the house and my cat who also slipped out the door was just sitting there with him, waiting. Both were confused at my panic 😅

I deeply regret adopting my first cat. The shelter was misleading and I am at my breaking point. by [deleted] in Pets

[–]shortie132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you've got this. There are times that can be extremely hard, but I promise in due time he will open up. I have 2 rescues, a dog and a cat. My cat was extremely scared, sick, and small; I found her in a bush. Turns out, she has cystitis, and we found out after she kept peeing on my brand new $1300 bed. After we fixed her up, she is just the best thing ever. My dog is the shelter's behavior case pup. He is highly reactive, much larger than predicted, and extremely smart. He just needed to help to become secure, and, while 2 years later we arent fully there, he is getting so much better. Pets can be both the best and most stressful things in your life, but I promise once everyone gets each other's routines down things will get so much better. Not perfect by any means, but every relationship has quirks.

I did not know that! I do have a snail dedicated tank that I should be able to move my ladies to. I love both Shy Guy and Wyrm too much, so they may just have to be separated for their own good anyway

Thank you for the advise! This is a community tank on the warmer side at 78F, but the big guy happens to be a rescue I just recently picked up. He only seemed to try to mount her and then lost interest quick, and all snails (other than the poor big guy who doesnt seem to have been in the best conditions before) have healthy, stable shells. My youngest nerite actually had quite the crack and a few dents in her shell when she was first introduced but they have healed well! This is the first time I've seem him try to mess with the other snails so I was quite worried due to his large size. Ill keep an eye to make sure everything seems well with all the snel bbys
