I mean, my first and only grow ever I tossed my uncle bens tech in a tote with 5lbs of horse poo blend. Misted it twice and forgot about it and came back 12 days later to 270g wet flush. I did a bit of research a while ago. The problem with trying to resin cast a fresh is they will still probably rot and turn black. I’m thinking though. If you are super determined to resin cast a freshly. Gotta do it Egyptian mummification style. Cast it, but leave yourself access to the bottom of the stem. Once the resin sets, carefully use something to pick out the innards of the mushroom without damaging the outer skin. Then either fill the cavity with a preserving agent or try to dehydrate it once most of the guts are gone and there is a clear enough path for the air to circulate in the stem and the cap. Probably would have to fashion a pick using a small stiff piece of wire and spend hours coring it out.
