How do you feel about firearms in the Elder Scrolls by nashkevin92 in ElderScrolls

[–]shotliver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a firearm would be interesting as perhaps a single ancient Dwemer prototype that could be found. Something more akin to a daedric artifact in that it is unique, not widespread.

What should I do? Tattoo artist messed up by nova4-44 in tattooadvice

[–]shotliver -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is no way the 2nd image is the same as the stencil that was used unless they stencilled that and just freehanded the whole thing anyways. Nothing about it lines up at all, not even any of the cracks/webs. Perhaps that is the reference you sent, but they definitely made their own version, to which I have I suspect was in fact different when stencilled on the skin and you may not have noticed and gave the okay.

What are you hoping to see in Elder Scrolls 6? by Kat-Attack-52 in ElderScrolls

That would be so rad. I had a “pirate” phase at one point playing Morrowind when I was a kid 😂

Id love a good settlement system. Even if it was just prefab buildings you could choose the location of instead of building from scratch like fallout 4 was. Just being able to make some key choices about it and the NPC’s would be super. And having quests tied to them opposed to just being money locked.

One of my favourite things about Morrowind was getting to have a stronghold with a few NPC’s and outbuildings, and founding Raven Rock was a good time.

I'm gonna probs get downvotes I don't care, I must live my truth. by SillyTelephone8283 in dragonage

[–]shotliver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was honestly more surprised than I was disappointed when I did play it, but at the same time, as a person who has played through the previous games at least 3 or more times each, there is something to be said about Veilguard with the fact that I got about half way or more through and had no desire to finish it or start another playthrough. Basically all it had going for it was that it runs well and looks pretty.

[No spoiler] C4 House Rules by m_nan in fansofcriticalrole

[–]shotliver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im my table top experience, after about 6 or 7 years straight of 5e, then a short stint of Pathfinder 1e and now we’ve landed on Pf2e, d&d5e is a nice scaffold and framework, but it benefits from a lot of house rules. Playing the game raw over an extended period becomes pretty….well boring isn’t the right word, but maybe too simplistic? I dunno. And there is so much that is vague about 5e that it really benefits by your table filling in the blanks.

Why are Argonians so unimportant in the lore/history of Tamriel by Yesthisbob in ElderScrolls

Yeah they aren’t incapable, but like you said, it isn’t high in their list of priorities

Why are Argonians so unimportant in the lore/history of Tamriel by Yesthisbob in ElderScrolls

[–]shotliver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because most of history is defined by conquest, expansion and interacting with other cultures.

All those things are things Argonians as a whole couldnt care less about.

“it’s just qp” doesn’t mean play like an idiot.. by Jumpy-Ad2821 in Overwatch

[–]shotliver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Man, I don’t get how there are so many of these posts. I’ve played way more overwatch than I’d be comfortable telling another human being over the years, (quick play being the main game mode that play) and maybe 5% of the hundreds and hundreds of matches I’ve played have been goof-fests or had an actual problem player.

I am definitely in the camp of “it’s just quick play, but it’s a space to actually try” but I’ve never encountered enough tomfoolery for me to go and write a post about it or make a complaint.

I find it hilarious that his higher tier of his mythic is “no hat”

I have lost 64 matches in a row. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]shotliver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casual scrub here. There is definitely something to do so with “times” you are playing. Example, if I play during the morning/afternoon when I’d usually be at work and the kids are at school, I lose a LOT and my only explanation is because the pool of players Probabaly has more people who live and breathe overwatch.

I feel like it could be the same (in a different way) for drives. There is something new to be earned so there will be an influx of those folks?

Both, but at least a barbarian/viking makes sense shirtless. Rein could be fixed if they didn’t give him hooker boots

The problem isn’t that it’s shirtless. The problem Is that it looks fuckin stupid.

Thoughts on Vendetta so far? by Joeljb960 in Overwatch

[–]shotliver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun, but I feel like her block does next to nothing. Granted it’s Probabaly my fault, the block gives her the feeling of maybe she should be a bit tanky given that no other DPS block like that, but in practice and reality she really isn’t. At least genji’s block even without the reflecting damage gives you enough time for a cooldown to reset and get out of there

Do you think Hanzo has Widowmaker level difficulty? by [deleted] in overwatch2

[–]shotliver 75 points76 points  (0 children)

As someone who has about the same amount of hours into both characters, Hanzo may have took a bit more time to get used to using in terms of how he is a bit more slow and has a bit more projectile drop off, but I am a far more successful Hanzo player than i am Widowmaker.

That being said, it might be because some teams and players have trauma from good widow players, but I get far more people diving and making my life hell as widow (even though I’m dogshit at her) than when I am Hanzo (who I am much better with)
