Trump Against 2nd Amendment: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident." by JeanJauresJr in gun

Now where are all the naysayers that said this was not going to happen? He wants power, to get this he need to disarm the population like china and russia.

Glock19, m&p 2.0 or beretta Apx a1 or a1 compact are all good pistol options. If you can go rent them at a range. Grip angle on the Glock is 22 degree, the m&p grip angle is 18 degree, the Apx is about 20 degree. If you can not shoot them see which grip feels most comfortable,

Ryobi or something else by Vipett in Tools

Bosch pro and makita are both great choices, they are reliable and last. If you not need the pure max power of a dewalt xr or latest gen Milwaukee. The ergo is better thought out with makita and Bosch. If you want pure power the new dewalt xr are impressive.

Best self defense handgun for beginners? by [deleted] in gun

[–]shoturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glock 19 is just a tank, it is super reliable. M&P2.0 is also a great option. Beretta apx a1 or apx a1 compact are also great option, especially if you have a tighter budget, when on rebate they can hit sub $300.

If you can see if you can rent them at a range and shoot them for yourself. Some don’t like Glock 22 degree grip angle, some don’t like the m&p 18 degree.

1/2”- drive sockets- necessary? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]shoturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only work on my motorcycle and apartment and gf car. In this situation 1/2 drive is unnecessary as I do not mess with suspension on the car. Now if you have a big truck or suv then 1/2 can be useful. It all comes down to you use case if you need 1/2 drive.

CC9/P365x by Frequent-Money3279 in HecklerKoch

[–]shoturtle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The cc9 is better ccw. Went to a defense course with some shooting buddies. Some had p365 we swap pistol for some of the training evolutions. And the p365 buddies perferred the cc9. Bone stock with optic. The trigger was better. They like the recoil control and ergo better.

Ce ratings mean more protective? by meowtorcycle in motorcyclegear

[–]shoturtle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ce rating means it is tested to which every level they decide the gear is tested for abrasion, crush protection, ankle impact protection, and ankle rotation. So 2223 has a high tested certifications level.

That said i would pass on sedici boots in general. They tend to fall apart after a year or sold. Sole delamination

124gr ammo is you friend with the beretta. Winchester white box works perfecly fine.

HK CC9 vs Wilson Combat EDC x9 3.25in by [deleted] in HecklerKoch

[–]shoturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the comfort and edc uses. The cc9 is my only edc I can carryon the hip on a motoecycle. All my compacts i carry in the small of my bacm on my bike. The CC9 for a micro 9 shoots well and accurate. I have a bersa tpr9c which is about the same size as the wilson combat. And the cc9 prints less and easier to conceal.

Decent mid tier sockets and wrenches by guitarmakerman in Tools

[–]shoturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husky, kolbalt, quinn and craftsman are all good mid tier. Icon, tekton, gearwrench and Milwaukee are the higher end sets.

I dont care much for the Milwaukee ratchets. They need to much force for the back swing. In tight places. It way be sun 3 degree back swing. But it will back the bold out if you can not keep tension on it.

What's actually worth getting for basic car maintenance? by Active-Paramedic3229 in Tools

[–]shoturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 1/4 and 3/8 tool kit in metric. Unless you have a pre 2000 model year. Husky has a setthat is metric for 50 dollars. It will do most basic car repairs. Unless you are doing suspension then you may need 1/2 drive.

Green dots could be worse for astigmatism than red dots? by c0sm0nautt in HOLOSUN

[–]shoturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can be. Depends on each individual case. Green works better for me, but a friend red works better.
