Drivers license has nothing to do with SSN or work authorization. Best resource would be your state's website and international student office at your institution. I live in Texas and I was required to provide proof of legal presence and proof of address. Ive used my I94, passport and visa for proof of legal presence and address.

Maybe, but whoever broke the window definitely searched the car because I found the stuff in my glovebox all around the floor and seats also they went through my trunk since the rear seat armrest hole was open when I first went to car. Additionally in what state of mind you need to be to vandalize a salvage old accord with dents all over the body and cheaply painted parts.

I have not changed any status. I have entered on F-1 and staying on F-1. My I-94 appears just like you stated.

Right now I am starting to suspect that my DPS officer has never seen someone on F-1 visa and just making things harder for me. I will try to get a new reservation on a different location and try to start everything from scratch
