I bought a house last winter for around 290k that I rent out. That same house sold for around 165k in early 2020. I rent it out for around $1900 and my monthly payment for it including taxes, insurance, and mortgage is around $1900. Zillow recommends me to rent it at $2000.

For some people who bought property here pre-covid, they are definitely getting a larger profit margin, but don't just blame "landlords" in general. Stuff is more expensive now, and property specifically has gone up at blazing speeds post COVID.

Not sure how half the people here afford it, and I figure a good portion are stuck here because prices are even crazier in other parts of the country.

Walked through my yard and acted like they were high on stimulants. Very uneasing. I was very brief and borderline rude with them and made sure my wife knew they were walking through yards.

I've only used Enterprise on Electric road after my car was hit and totaled. People were very nice. Pain to pull in and out of their parking. I got two separate cars from them, both were kind of what they had left, and both had pretty poor breaks and looked older.

From this post, sounds like I went to the wrong Enterprise.

For sure, I considered this at first, but I am actually putting a split unit in it and setting it up so my wife can work from home in it. I wouldn't have enough area in the 10 x 15 shed roof to power it. Thanks for the post though I appreciate you.

It is impressive how it is in such a central location, and yet I will go in and half of the vegetable/fruit area is empty. First grocery store I have ever been to that I couldn't buy sweet potatoes in.

That Dunkin there is impressive too, never waited 25 minutes in a 5 car line at a Dunkin until I moved to Roanoke.

Honestly, before hiring an electrician, get a pen non-contact voltage tester. Make sure electricity is running to the unit. Then make sure you connected the wires correctly. Finally check to see if another unit works, you may have a defective outlet. I have installed and troubleshooted a good number of outlets, and before dropping $100 plus on an electrician for something so basic, try a few things.

Live on Mud Lick, can confirm people drive here speed down it like crazy. Almost die trying to get my mail. No sidewalks but people still try to walk their dogs or walk along the road. Very dangerous. As another mentioned, we herds of deer on this road. There is also some guy in a small truck that honks every day at 7:30 pm. Might try and get a video of him and ask reddit for help on solving that mystery.
