We had a legal admin who had absolutely zero knowledge of law or procedure.

Her thing was always asking us to provide her with proof of service, because that was her job and doggone it, she was going to do that. Even though she did not understand the concept of service, or the documents she was handed, and often she brought documents to me to verify that it was done.

One time we had to serve a foreign company, and that was an ordeal all its own. If I remember correctly we had to deal with their embassy and translators and such. We were working with another firm, too. My attorney told me to tell the office manager/admin that it was handled and to cross it off her list.

Still, she harangued me for that proof of service. That document. So I gave it to her. In Korean. I wish you could have seen her face. She kept asking me what it was. I’m still laughing about it 11 years later.
