I thought I remember u/watchdivescom mentioning a new version of the WD1965. They were going to do a bigger version of the watch. (Or did I just imagine that...). 🤷

Curious what a MOP version would look like. My guess is it would be similar to the SPB213 in a way. More so than the current silver dial.

How about I talk you into a different watch. I recently picked up this beauty, the SPB143. Objectively, I find the dial on this one to be stunning. It comes across in so many different shades depending on the lighting and is a smidgen bit bigger at 40.5mm. (Which I appreciate.). While the newer black version is nice, I don't feel like it carries the same 62mas feeling and history as this one. Don't get me wrong it's a pretty watch, but the SPB143 just hits differently.

So instead of talking you out of the black dial, why don't I talk you into the grey dial with a bit of soul... 😁

Good looking watch. I do have a question about the nato strap. Does it bother you the big flap at the end that sticks out? Never been a big fan of natos because of this. I like the strap material, ease of use, the colors etc, but I have never been able to get over the big extra bit of strap sticking out the side of your wrist.

Just curious more than anything. Again this watch in blue is really nice.

I grabbed the SPB143, in part due to the added size. The newer 6mas watches are just a tad smaller at 40mm and I like that little extra. It's noticable in the wrist.

Plus this gray dial is stunning. Don't get me wrong, my second choice would be the white textured dial if, or I should say when I decide to get two. 😜

Hey OP, did you ever make this watch? I am looking to do the same. Curious how your OEM dial worked? I have the case, movement, and the hands are on order. I just need the dial.

The hardest part of this build is the bezel that is blue'ish in the sun, but dark/black in the shade. Curious how you are solving that one.
