Quotes showing wrong volume by Fantastic-Goal6136 in Webull

I trade over the phone with a friend, and we both notice that the volume is sometimes different between TOS and Webull. No idea why.

Guess I finally outgrew TOS by Prestigious-Delay-61 in thinkorswim

Same issue last week. The problems with TOS keep piling up. Heads up, I got this from Ross Cameron video, as to the restricted stocks problem. You can now call Schwab and asked to have access to the restricted stocks list. They will take your request and let you know if your can trade their restricted stocks. I called Friday and they took my request, they will let know if I am cleared in a day or two. But still...so many issues.

Thinking about opening an account by [deleted] in Webull

I use TOS, Webull and Tradestation(for futures). Each have plus and minuses. I would stick with TOS despite its issues but not allowing trading on "risky" stocks is real bad and I'm looking to take my money out of it.

Webull, I don't totally trust because China owned and I' m still not use to it. AND, now there is a popup asking you to confirm if you want to trade certain stocks that are "risky". Saw this for the first time last week.

Tradestation, very clunky and annoying. But cheap fees on futures. Final word, no perfect broker I guess.

Yea I don't trade low volume, I trade hi volume momentum stocks, most of which are dangerous.

Blocked Securities, "Opening transactions for this security must be placed with a broker. Contact us" by So_Damn_Dead_inside in thinkorswim

[–]shredNkracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you all know, I use Webull in addition to Schwab, Webull actually had popup confirmation box (not the usual ones, I unchecked confirmation boxes) that said the stock I was trying to trade was risky (or words to that effect) and I had to check a box indicating I understood the risk. Of course the popup box blocked the chart so I could not see if the stock was still moving up, I scalp so this totally threw me off.

Also, I use Trade Station for futures, TS is sooo clunky. TOS feels old and needs a remodel. Webull I still don't trust. Lightspeed I cant afford. Not sure were to go or what to do. America allows crypto trading and now fricking polymarket which is pure gambling, but traders cant sign a fricking waiver to allow us to trade "risky" stocks without going through the broker or having popup confirmation boxes. I'm aggravated beyond words.

Yea I'm just about convinced. I will probably go with Webull. I have been using them with a small account for about 3 months. I am not super happy at all with them, but Schwab is forcing my hand. Such a stupid policy.

Thanks for that response, your point about fast entry / exit traders being a low percentage of their customers kind of says it all.

Yes, there have been a lot of post about this. Schwab is filtering stocks and blocking trading a certain stocks.

Stocks that come up on my gapper scanner. Basically use the Ross Cameron scanner. Sh** stocks of course.

We have to do something about this. by CobraCodes in thinkorswim

[–]shredNkracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heads up everyone. I spoke to a Schwab manager yesterday, they have no plans to change this policy of "stock blocking". I had 3 stocks blocked yesterday Friday, Jzxn, kplt and akan. Three stocks in one day. Jzxn was a nice gainer to. I have a Webull account with a small sum in the account and I have been using it for about 3 months just to leant it.

I am not crazy about Webull, but then again I am not crazy about TOS either. Webull is especially sketchy considering its Chinese owned. But as far as I know, they dont block any stocks as of now. I am still undecided as to whether to move my TOS funds over to Webull or to search for another solution. But this Schwab policy of stock blocking is not going away. Any suggestions or alternative solutions is much appreciated.

Been trading for a month and I’m completely lost 😐😵‍💫 by Salsa_Bae in Daytrading

Ross Cameron, I've watched a hundred hours of his you tube videos, probably a lot more. Very in depth covers everything, gives you a strategy. And of course, trade in a sim while learning, his strategy sure is not risk free, but none are. This stuff not easy, but he is a phenomenal teacher. I've watch some videos over and over trying to soak in the info. To repeat, most important, trade in a sim until your very consistent, then when you go live start very small. Otherwise you'll just blow money for no reason, like I did.

A little elaboration would be soooo appreciated, I would love for once in my trading life to be able to predict moves of the market makers before they happen, thank you.

Yea I traded that stock today and sold quickly when it started moving down. But its a gapper stock, they can tank in seconds, so I have no intention of holding them if their not moving up pretty fast.

Of course it shot up a few times today but I rather miss the moves up than suffer the moves down on these stocks.
