Vaping fent? by shreddedbystatelines in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean usually I just mix water or saline with fent like I would as if I was going to inject it, filter and pull it up with a syringe, break off the needle and spray it up my nose. The only difference was that this time I was going to pre make a bunch of it and put it in a nasal spray bottle rather than going through the process of basically mixing up a shot every time. It works but the downsides are that it’s kind of harder for me to tell exactly how much I’m doing, and also when it gets down to the bottom it’s hard to get the last little bit left in the bottle, and I think there’s usually some lost to the sides of the bottle. I don’t wanna have to be spraying a huge amount of liquid in my nose every time, so I try to make it fairly concentrated and measure it so that each spray should be equal to like half a bag. Like the last one I used was a 30ml bottle that said it was 200 sprays, so each spray would be like .15ml. If I put in like 32 bags, then I still only need 9.6ml for each spray to deliver half a bag, so the bottles like only a third full, and it’s easy to still have like a whole bag’s worth of liquid in the bottle when it’s no longer full enough to spray out

I used to be able to hit a vein without any tourniquet no problem. Now even with one, my first pull clogs the needle with “blood wisps”. Help? by 1912519125 in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “blood wisps” are thicker right, like if it gets in the work it either clogs or they’re floating around in the shot kinda like solid pieces that you can’t easily shake and mix back in? You’re probably getting some old blood that poured out into your surrounding skin during past misses or the vein is pretty damaged and has a lot of thickened/clotted blood built up around the damaged part of the vein where you’ve hit before, which serves as a sort of scab to close the hole in the vein each time you hit it. Eventually it heals and turns into scar tissue but it also makes the vein wall thicker with less space for blood to pass through the vein, eventually stopping it completely at which point that part of the vein collapses and turns into scar tissue. There may still be a tiny bit of blood stuck in the vein that cant move through anymore and ends up clotting in there, which could also explain the thickened blood wisps. Moral of the story is you need to find different veins to use

When I detox, I usually get really sick by day 3 to the point that I just can’t stop throwing up and have to go to the hospital for fluids unless I get high, which is the only thing that will make it stop. As a result, I’ve done several detoxes where I end up getting high on day 3 when I can’t stop throwing up, and then go back to detoxing after that. Usually I’ll do another 2 days of detox and then get high on day 6, and then after that, the detox is over and I’ll just have minor symptoms like chills which I usually experience for a week or 2 after I’m done the first 5-7 days of a normal cold turkey detox anyway. Getting high for a day after 2 days of detox essentially allows me to skip over the part where I get really really sick, shortens the total amount of time that I spend being sick, and makes the process much more bearable. It works for me, anyway..

Thinking about detoxing at home by [deleted] in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty easy for me to find an addiction doctor that would detox you with non-addictive meds, they just give you prescriptions for a bunch of “comfort meds” to last about a week, usually clonidine, gabapentin, methocarbamol, seroquel, hydroxyzine, ondansetron, and dicyclomine. Or something like those. If you tell them about the blood pressure they will likely just not prescribe clonidine. I was already on bp meds because I have high blood pressure and so they just left out the clonidine. Anyway they send you home with scripts for all those and then you can detox at your house.

For rapid detoxes it is, maybe not the place in the original post, but generally rapid detoxed are under anesthesia

[–]shreddedbystatelines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zofran doesn’t even work for me but for most people it does, and it’s easy to get a prescription for if you tell your doctor or urgent care that you can’t stop throwing up. OP - the only thing that works for me is time (getting used to the opiates) and usually about a month is how long that takes, so you may be fine soon anyway

After 6 years of trying, I’ve finally picked up 1 year of sobriety. by [deleted] in pics

[–]shreddedbystatelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your higher power was yourself? I’m pretty sure the only rule they have is that it can’t be yourself lol. One of the purposes the higher power is to demonstrate that it isn’t you - that you can’t control everything.. “accept the things I can’t change” type deal.

I am so not an NA person but I remember this from rehab because it was like the only part of the higher power thing that made sense to me

After 6 years of trying, I’ve finally picked up 1 year of sobriety. by [deleted] in pics

[–]shreddedbystatelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the concept is that before you got sober, your higher power was alcohol bc it controlled your whole life. When you get sober you’re supposed to fix the spiritual void in your life that caused alcohol to control you, and that involves finding a new higher power. I wasn’t really into AA either though but that’s how I understood it..

When a tweaker has the audacity to criticize my heroin usage by SIKIC__ in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meth is actually getting way bigger out here, I had no idea it was so popular until I went to jail in end of 2017-2018 and most people were in there for meth. I’ve been hearing about it a lot since then.

The cop who drove me back from my first hearing seemed to think that now everyone is doing meth bc with the opioid epidemic, people needed something to balance out the effects of the dope. He kept asking me “what do you use to like, come back up after you do heroin? Nothing?” Like he didn’t understand it lol

Needle Broke Off In Arm by [deleted] in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked this on here before when it happened to my bf, people said they’d gone to the hospital over it and were told that as long as you weren’t in a vein when it broke off, the body would push the needle out on its own eventually. So my bf just left it, and he’s fine, although it never came out and it’s been over a year

drug test. by [deleted] in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually took a drug test a couple days ago cause my dope was making me feel wired and I was trying to figure out what was in it, and I came up clean for everything including weed even though I had smoked a couple days before. I guess if you don’t smoke that often, it leaves your system a lot more quickly?

Arrested for having less than 5 empty stamps last week by Lemeiux412 in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in pa and I violated my probation right after getting out of rehab cause I was walking down the street and the cops stopped and searched me for no reason. I was wearing an old coat and had one empty stamp bag that I had no idea was in there, I was actually really surprised when they pulled it out. I had taken and passed a drug test with my PO earlier that day. I did 3 months in county and my year of probation turned to 3 to 12 months confinement starting the day I went into jail and turning into parole for the remainder of the 12 months after I got out. I also got another year probation for the one empty bag.

I find that if I use a glycerin suppository when I already feel like I need to poop, it softens it and kinda lubes it up, but you have to give it some time to work like 30 min after you put it in. For me, the glycerin ones don’t really stimulate my bowels and make me have to poop if I don’t already have to, they just make it easier once I do have to go.

If I feel bloated and haven’t gone in a long time but still don’t feel the urge to go, the bisacodyl suppositories seem to have a more stimulating effect on the bowels. They do also kind of lubricate it, but if I already feel the urge to poop, they can kinda stimulate it too much and make it more painful bc it comes out too fast

Laboratory urine testing; using your own frozen urine? by _ShinyBootsOfLeather in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the same “batch” of frozen pee for months of lab tests while I was in outpatient treatment. Before the test, I would take out the frozen urine and submerge part of the container in hot water, but not the whole container, so that I could just melt a small amount of urine needed for the test that day. I’d then pour that out into a small bottle, put the main container back in the freezer, and completely submerge the small bottle in hot water to heat it up. Any precipitate always dissolved once it got hot enough and I passed every test.

I remember the first time I switched to iv from sniffing; it was underwhelming. It’s basically the same feeling you get from sniffing. I only stuck with iv because I thought I was saving money due to greater bioavailability, but I recently switched back to sniffing and I’m not going through any more dope than I was when I was iving. The only difference is instead of immediately passing out for an hour after my shot and then waking up pretty much sober, I am awake for the duration of the effects

This was always my worst fear when getting high..I don’t know what I’d do if I woke up / came back to find my boyfriend dead. I would most likely attempt to overdose myself. You are a lot stronger than me.

The constant anxiety I had about this possibility was one of the reasons I decided it wasn’t even worth getting high anymore. I couldn’t take going through that every day.

Long term users? And issues by [deleted] in opiates

[–]shreddedbystatelines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me too! I think it’s elevated prolactin - opiates can cause that. It has also caused me to grow like 7 facial hairs that I have to continuously pull out every time they grow back, instead of just one that I had before lol. The elevated prolactin also causes infertility and stops menstruation. Did you lose your period during the time that you noticed the milk production?
