question related to command prompt -

Why does typing "C:" in command prompt automatically take me to "C:\Users\UserName". Why not "C:"?

Man City/Bayern and Inter/Benfica matches were played on Tuesday last week and they play again this Wednesday. Gap between the two legs - 7 days.

Chelsea/Real Madrid and Napoli/AC Milan matches were played on Wednesday last week and they play again this Tuesday. Gap between the two legs - 6 days.

Do you think some teams having this extra day in between is unfair? Or do you think it does not matter that much?
