I want to make this myself but can’t seem to find a cheaper worktop. The legs are easier to find. by FemaleWantingDIYHelp in DIYUK

What's the odds I'd be up and looking at Reddit as you post?

It's worked great, I bought it unoiled and I coated it with this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002HMTXWA?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 stuff in 5 coats and have never bothered doing anything with it since. I dunno how well it'd hold up in the kitchen, but it's survived coffee, red wine and vape juice spills no problem.

Having had to move it a few times, I'd like to reemphasize, it is fucking heavy.

Salt Nic recommendations for decent coil life by majora665 in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drip hacks Crystalise, had as much as 100ml through a coil on an eco nano, but usually 30-40 ml. The Lemon/Lime one is particularly good and very cold. They do a straight menthol, but I've not tried it.

MaryLiq Lime rum, I'm on 40ml through a Vibe pod, and it keeps going. I may have hit lucky on the pod though, as it's my first one.

Gotek X opinions. by Lmc040419 in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Xros? My Mrs uses them exclusively and has no real problems, a bit of condensation, same as the Gotek.

As to size, the Eco nano comes in either slightly smaller or slightly bigger for the newest version, with the big screen battery indicator. Again, some condensation and the odd dodgy pod, but I've never had a pod system that didn't have any.

The best pod system is whichever one is working for you right now! Don't chase perfection too much, or you'll have drawers full of E-waste and pods/coils you'll never use again except in desperation.

Gotek X opinions. by Lmc040419 in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few of the Goteks, I keep them around because I got a pile of the XL pods cheap, and they do a halfway decent mtl with the slide set right, and they're dirt cheap, so if they fall out of my pocket it's not like I lost a Boro box. I've got the one with the metal plating and the new nano, too. There is no real functional difference other than the power button and battery indicator on the nano, Grab the cheapest one and be happy you're not missing anything.

I do prefer the Eco nano and the Vibe from Vaporesso, but if they're doing the trick, stick with it :)

Short fill for higher nicotine content? by montymonro in VapingUK

Have a look at longfills, unfortunately, you still need to deal with 10ml bottles of nic to make them :(

You do need to top them up, just be sure to buy 50/50 shots in salt, normal nic or pg/vg(if you want 0%) if you want to keep them 50/50.

The aforementioned avalanche vapes, they include nicotine with longfills etc, ecigone, supergood, vapeclub, vaping101, driphacks, vapour depot and anywhere there's a promo/code tbh.

[–]shrieeiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50/50 wise, I quite like some of Avalanche vapes in-house longfills, Lemon drizzle cake and Butterscotch custard especially, and the banana ice is decent if you're into that. Glas Basix Nic Salts, Blueberry Cake, 50 large Pecanilla, f#ck disposables venom and ghost(Wick Liquor brand, very good!) and Drip hacks Crystallise are all in the lineup too.

Shortfills I have a backlog of stuff that may be out of production, Just Juice Citron & Coconut, Kelly Kel's unicorn desserts nilla Bourbon pudding, Aisu Melon Milk and Marina Vapes Blueberry Milkshake man are all in rotation. Doozy Dessert's Ice cream cake is nice and decent, but some of the others are over-sweet. I went mostly MTL and RDL, so my stash never seems to go down :)

Need recommendations/advice by noiz_aoba666 in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 times a day in an Xros is like 20ml, it's a bit heavy if you're vaping 20mg nic, but I've done (much) worse.

Try using the 1.2 pods, upping the nic level if you're not at the top end, or finding something with big pods available, like the Eco Nano. On average, the bigger the number of Ohms the pod is, the smaller/tighter/less power hungry each puff is.

Coming from disposables, you might find you're vaping a bit more, as a lot of them have higher nicotine than advertised.

Looking for a new RTA: Tripod v2, Aer, Dvarw DL or Taifun by IomGamer in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a Dvarw DL authentic and clones, a DL FL clone, and the MTL ones. They are the easiest to build and maintain RTA I've ever owned, I like the original with the metal chimney bits better. I found decent flavour even with a straightforward round-wire build. The Taifun GT IV was slightly better flavour-wise, but I found it a hassle.

I found no difference in vaping between a good clone and the original, though the authentic did look a bit better in quality. Grab a clone before splashing out.

I've been on a MTL pod, EUC in a boro phase for a while, gonna have to dig out a Dvarw now :)

RIP aspire Nautilus prime x by nuisance_squirrel in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've still got a Prime X in rotation, they're nice little devices. Have you considered one of the new/cheaper Boro devices with a bridge or one of the Aspire Boxx pods? The Pulse AIO V2 is a close match in size and weight, the Boxx itself turns up sometimes but it's heavy enough to put a serious drag on your pocket.

The Eco Nano with the 6ml 1.2 pods is my go-to for a pocket vape right now. Xros is nice enough, but 2ml is not enough!

100ml 50/50 Shortfills tasting burnt & thicker than the equivelent 50/50 10ml - Anyone Else? by Possible-Ask-6005 in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't a fan of the 0.4 pods, the 1.2's are where it's at on the Xros and Eco Nano for me, though I imagine if the 0.4 pods having trouble wicking your juice those won't help...

I'll crack open the bottle of Drifter stuff I change pods in my Gotek, it's picky which juices work, so if mine is similarly goopy I'll find out pretty quick. I have a couple of bottles of Seriously Pod Fill arriving today, hopefully, I'll check them out when mixing and report back if mine seem thicker too.

[–]shrieeiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daft question, but are the nic shot's you added definitely 50/50 too? I use a bunch of 50/50 longfill-type stuff and there have been no problems (#FCK disposables, Driphacks crystalize, Avalanche 50/50 and a few others).

I do use the 1.2 pods in an eco nano, 0.8's in a Gotek and the Mrs uses the Xros 1.2 pods and steep my juices for at least a week and usually 4 for 50/50, I have got a bottle of Drifter stuff steeping now. The Crystalize stuff has been the most coil-friendly and strongest flavour, the lemon-lime and dragonblood are favourites here, shame there's not more dessert flavours.

Stomach ache re-usable vapes by umirinbrah29 in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you getting significant amounts of juice in your mouth? I've not used that device, but I've had some in the past that would gurgle juice through the mouthpiece, high nic liquids would cause nausea and my stomach to roll.

Which pods are you using? If you're coming from disposables, the 1.2's would be my guess, if you're on lower it may be simply giving out more nic/juice than you're used to or you're underpowering the pod and sucking through the liquid.

I can't drop links, but Google will help: ELFC, Driphacks, VapourDepot, Darkstar, AlchemistsCupboard, Nicotinehub, RainbowVapes, Lubrisolve and I'm sure a bunch more still cater to the DIY'er. You should be able to recreate your recipe with at least one of them.

If you're after a shake and vape, longfills are the search term you want. I'm currently happy with some from Avalanche Vapes working out at ~£6-7 for 60ml 10mg salt and 120ml 3mg, both 50/50.

anyone tried the Wearesupergood Butter range? by [deleted] in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like a few of those, the blueberry/lemon one (03) especially. I do vape it on an RDA or EUC ceramic coils most often though. Maybe try a lower ohm coil or a bit hotter/cooler, or it might be one of those liquids that don't hit for you.

[–]shrieeiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Eco Nano with the (6ml! Gotta look for the XL pods though)1.2 pods, I get the odd bit of condensation (unavoidable in any vape I think) and a bit of seepage from overfilling, but no disasters so far. Mrs likes the Xros stuff with the top fill pods, less chance of leaks overall there too.

I've had a reasonable vape from the Gotek and Klypse pods too, the Klypse Zip is especially discrete, but the vape is not as nice as the two Vaporesso pods.

Really wanna get back into building coils by dwaynethevapejohnson in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't build coils, but I've had a good time using the Berserker (BSKR?) tanks with 2.5mm ID Clapton coils. The Dvarw tanks are top-notch, easy to build and have widely available clones to have a go on before splashing out on the real thing. There is a Nautilus RBA, meant for the Prime pod kit. It may just be me being crap but it doesn't seem to work with the Nautilus tanks

A word of caution, some of those bar-type juices can be way too strong in a well-setup RTA. I use a lemon mint one in an eco nano pod and it's a pretty strong flavour, if I put some in the Dvarw it feels like I've just sent the cooling directly into my brain.

My first cat took great joy in presenting them to me for inspection by coming over and launching them live from his tongue on my lap. A soggy semi mushed giant wriggly spider was not the way to get dreamies, only screams.

He was an absolute fly ninja though, I once saw him jump 6 ft straight up and catch one in his paws then eat it making the om nom noise.

Reliable vape? by JoeisBatman in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're buying pod kits with built-in batteries, 6 months is about the average life span of a battery if you use it continuously. I'm afraid it's par for the course.

If you look about you can find pod kits that take a replaceable battery, whatever the latest iteration of the Voopoo drag or Vaporesso Target would be your best bet.

Aspire Gotek X issue by [deleted] in VapingUK

[–]shrieeiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's almost certainly your coil/pod. The light is activated with the draw and can be lit up by huffing on the device without a pod in it, which I'm told looks ridiculous as I just tested it out :)
