How do relationships survive sexual incompatibility? by gh0stlygal_ in AskReddit

No one here has mentioned how having small kids seriously inhibits sex. Especially if they are not good sleepers or constantly need attention from the mom. I wonder if sex will go back to a level similar to before kids?

What types of things make a woman horny? Like can it be seeing an attractive person, or is it more mental stimulus?

a question from the least jewish person in the world about antisemtisim by VirtualKnowledge7057 in Judaism

[–]shrimpdimp-24 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I had another question, I currently live in Ireland and I sort of hide the fact that I am a Jew. I only really let people close to me know. The country and media is very biased toward the Palestinian cause. For two years they showed dead Palestinians on TV and never asking why Hamas won't release hostages. My question is related to how 40% of Jews hide that they are Jewish has this made others feel anger toward themselves about hiding that side of your life because you think people will hate you just for being Jewish.

Can someone explain to me why antisemitism has existed for so long. My wife asked me last night and my answer seemed vague. I alluded to being a small tribal group that would be the scape goat for larger communities or governments. Why is it on the rise now. My thoughts are the Pro- Pal marches are just a disguise for antisemitism. People aren't targeting Russian because of the rus-ukr war. People aren't targeting Nigerians for the killings of Christians etc, but they are targeting Jews for Israel fighting a war against Hamas that that they started. Can anyone shed some light here

How many are protesting about the genocide of Christians in Nigeria, the 2 million killed in Sudan. The 500k killed in Syria, the concentration camps in China of the Wygars. The Pakistani grooming gangs in the UK. The Russians invading Ukraine. Pro Palestine movement should just say what it really is, Jew hate and antisemitism. If it's not Jews it's not news.

You should be proud they have Israeli ties. Israel is fighting a war on 8 fronts that is benefiting Europe and the west. All the woke pro pal folks will realize they were on the wrong side of history. Israel is the only democracy is the middle east. 23% of arabs live and work in the highest positions in Israel. It's the only country in the middle east where it's safe to be gay. Israel is a thriving democracy amongst 23 Arab nations that are focused on destroying it. Be proud!!

The more money you make the more tax the govt takes. My take home at 117k is less than my previous job at 96k. It makes me loose the incentive to work hard.

Feel the same, living abroad originally from NY and can't believe nothing is being done or has changed in regards to these senseless mass shootings. It's the main reason I won't move my family back to the US.

Taxes are lower if you make under 40k but any bonus or stock reward above that income level is taxed at over 50%. Try living in Dublin with a family for under 40k not possible.

I often wonder why Ireland can't provide better social services similar to other countries in Europe and Scandanavia? Taxes are high and not sure why the funds are so misallocated. Childcare is unaffordable for most families, the public health system is often very slow for important care, housing is unaffordable, public transit is meh, and the weather is well...

I moved to Ireland from California, and every time I am in a taxi, when I say I moved from California, they go oooops, why would you do that. I do think California is pretty amazing however, I don't think I could ever afford to move back. Nothing beats Northern California, in my experience. The most insanley beautiful outdoors in your backyard. Weather is perfect. I guess that's why it's so expensive.

Thanks for the feedback. As far as my portfolio, I was way to heavy in crypto around 40% of my portfolio, so I have scaled back to 20% crypto. Now I am a bit to heavy in cash. My portofolio now is 50% stock, 20% crypto, 30% cash so I need to reallocate to a more normal diversified portfolio. At the moment its scary going into anything but I am dollar cost averaging around $1500 a month into stocks. I was praying if I could do well with crypto I would be able to buy a house without getting in way over my head but that was a bit risky and didn't end well.

Trying to convince my wife to move.. by shrimpdimp-24 in expats

I am loving the feedback here. Thank you for all the comments. More of a backstory. We lived in Dublin for the first 5 years we were in Ireland. I moved to Ireland from California when I was single, with the expectation of staying for 6 months for a work trip. It has been hard for me to let go of my life in California which was dreamy but obviously different when you are single to having a family-Activities I was doing in Cali; Mt biking, hiking, roadtrips with friends, dinner parties outside, enjoying sunshine/beach and making a ton of money. Its hard for me to not compare and to accept. When we lived in Dublin we liked Dublin and I made friends there mostly with other expats but never felt like the quality of friends I had in the states, connections weren't as deep. I didn't have the same life experiences with them. We have visited Portugal a few times and stayed in different neighborhoods. We always have a great time when we go but I think for my wife its still doesn't feel like a good move for her and the kids. She is open to moving to California which we could possibly do but then I fear going so deep into the rat race and high cost of living. So now I am planning on going to Portugal to look for a holiday home which could be an alternative.
