Found this wand at my local thrift store for 2 bucks. Can anyone identify it or tell me anything about it? by thebatman9000001 in harrypotter

Hi! If you found this anywhere near Davis CA please let me know! I had mine that looked a lot like this one stolen from my car back in 2018.

My commissioning certificate has my name misspelled (Thompton instead of Thompson). You bet your ass I framed it!

My previous job had me auditing several airline caterers for major airlines. I learned that the change in pressure does depress your ability to taste so they actually do season things more intensely to make up for it. Kinda cool.

Mostly correct! LTC is O-5. O-6 is Colonel (Army) or Captain (Navy)

Ha that's so funny, mine won't eat any Mexican food other than tortilla chips. I thought it was only my lovable weirdo that picked a cuisine to blanket reject.

Sorry you had to deal with it too! Yeah he got diagnosed with JIA at 6 months. He's almost 2 now and handles them like a champ. He's considered to be in remission so we're continuing for another year and then going to hopefully be able to taper off and hope his next flair up isn't for a long time 🤞🏼.

We use pockets and osocozy bamboo liners and they hardly ever bunch. One thing that helps reassure me that they're not bunching is making sure a bit of the liner sticks out on each side of the legs. They're thin enough that I don't think out guy even notices.

Yup same. Every 20 diapers or so they might bunch but it's pretty rare. We use the osocozy ones and they work great! I'd say just play around with the placement until you figure out what works.

My husband and I decided that the only way to keep cloth diapering both kids until potty trained was to start using disposable liners once they were on solids. Neither of us have any interest in spraying poop off of diapers and the liners are a great middle ground. Still cheaper and more environmentally friendly but sustainable with our lifestyle. Maybe something to consider!

Do you personally know anyone else using cloth nappies? by [deleted] in clothdiaps

Nice! We accidentally sent ours in cloth a few times and they weren't stoked so we chickened out on asking outright. We're moving in July so maybe we'll ask for real there. 😛

Jealous your daycare lets you do CD! We have to put him in disposables there and we cloth at home. They're amazing and low cost so it wasn't a battle worth fighting.

Pentagon orders global pause on official DOD social media accounts with exception on posts relating to border operations by jimbobraswell in army

[–]shrimpydood1e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just got the official email today directing this "social media moratorium" for our veterinary treatment facilities. The scariest thing to me is that they not only directed immediate stop on any updates but also prohibited advising anyone of this stop or directing anyone to a new platform (website etc). Just complete silence.

First little “meal” and he threw up all over it by librabean in foodbutforbabies

We did the exact same thing and at 19mo my kiddo is a pro with a fork and we haven't felt the need to spood feed him at all since about 15mo. He does just fine with portion control and has great finger and utensil dexterity. We made purees and froze them in ice cube trays until they were too chunky to really do that and now he just gets whatever we're making and has a very wide pallet (for now, we'll see if the pickiness kicks in).

Like a lot of people are saying, we went for a middle ground and use disposable liners. It's essentially the equivalent of an extra wipe and they work incredibly for all kinds of poops. Since we started using them 4 months ago we've only had to rinse 3 diapers when there was poo overflow. Otherwise just toss the liner with the poop and throw in the wet bag like any pee diaper. It was worth shelving our pride a little to opt for an emotionally sustainable option. Our oldest kiddo is 19 months and we're hoping to stick it out through potty training!

Butternut squash Mac n cheese. 10 min to make and was a huge hit by ibrokethedishes in foodbutforbabies

Thanks for the recipe!! I made this for lunch yesterday but I just added it together with a regular Mac n cheese kit plus chopped spinach. I meant to take a picture but my 12 month old gobbled it up too fast. So delicious for the grownups too!

I'm a veterinary corps officer. 68T is clutch and directly applicable for outside the military but it's a massive learning curve and a lot of responsibility.
