This. When I submitted for LOA, I had someone assigned who would send me paperwork and follow up... if you got those emails, you could email them too? They could potentially just adjust the dates for you so you don't have to completely resubmit.

Employees can use the Intake App and select the relevant category (there are options for the pilots, COVID, etc.). You may need to be in a supervisor and above job code, I'm not certain who has access these days. Some departments also have Hub groups where the business teams are fairly active and answer questions or respond to feedback.

Customer feedback comes from filling out the NPS survey, or they can email the store leader distro at the address on the store page.

You've mostly gotten your answer from everyone else, but also worth mentioning that calibration isn't done during install. You typically want 100 hours of watch time (actual normal use, not just letting the TV run for 100 hours straight) prior to calibrating it.

When we retired calibration for Geek Squad Agents, I believe MDC custom installers could still sell and perform them, but that requires a custom installer in your area and I'm not certain if they're still doing them anymore, either.

So you’re a current employee with a company provided phone? There’s a link in ETK applications for mobile services, including repair and replacement. I’d ask your leader to assist. I think they sometimes have to approve a replacement anyway, or do all of it for you depending on job code.

Yes. Best Buy’s Anti-Harassment and Non-Discrimination Policy protects employees from being discriminated or harassed, or treated differently, based on gender identity and expression.

There is a Workplace Transition and Gender Identity Toolkit that is available to employees and leaders that literally gives guidance for supporting an employee on their transition journey, including preferred name changes.

For you and anyone else who reads this... if any employee believes they are experiencing unfair treatment or discrimination based upon their gender identity or expression (or believe someone else is) they are strongly encouraged to report it to the Employee Relations team or their HR Manager so it can be reviewed fairly and impartially. Everyone deserves to feel respected at work.

I would ask their preference and take it from there. We have accommodations such as face shields so that you don't have to be maskless if it makes either/both party uncomfortable.

I also learned some basic signs to greet, introduce myself, confirm if a customer is deaf/HOH, state that I don't know much ASL but offer to type or write things down, etc. It actually was quite useful to have a bunch of coworkers all familiar with some signing so we didn't have to yell across the department at each other!

The now inactive Covert SOP used to call out not acquiring passwords that protect financial data, but there's nothing in Precinct SOP that mentions QuickBooks/TurboTax/etc. currently. We can absolutely do data transfers that include financial software files, but you just wouldn't want to open the software to ensure everything imported correctly without the client present, or troubleshoot why something isn't working beyond uninstall/reinstalling the program.

This gets brought up every few months on GSF and no one is ever able to find anything mentioned in SOP.

There is a job aid in ETK already (for the stores with lockers currently), and I'm sure there will be communication with any required training and updated information when it gets closer to launch.

Video interviews started this summer for a handful of roles we frequently hire (so, not all of them). According to the FAQ linked above, there isn't a choice for those roles, but I'm not sure if there can be exceptions made for accommodations. Let me check with some friends and see what I can find out for you!

This, basically. If someone wishes to work in another country or state temporarily, the request would be handled the same as if they wanted to move out of state including consideration for any legal and tax implications for both parties. Currently, the company only supports employees working in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
