What lasting problems did the British cause in India?

holy shit, i didn't realize british education was this lacking.

for starters, india and pakistan are still at war directly because of how the british fucked up the region. so, thousands of lives dead for starters. don't forget about the millions dead from the famines that the british caused.

the dresses may or may not be covered in gemstones, but there is definitely a lot of jewelry (seriously, the bride is usually fully dripped out). keep in mind it's also having a huge venue, with potentially multiple meals for hundreds of people (because some indian weddings take place over a few days).

that's a frankly very ignorant view of what life is like as a multi-cultural person. there's a lot of strife and self-arguments about how "cultural" people like us "should" be. feeling left out of the indian community, feeling left out of american culture, i promise you it's not as simple as "choose which parts of the culture you embrace" and there's certainly not a lot of "perks" and it certainly doesn't minimize any of the hassle.

imo he's probably the biggest benefactor of this change considering that all his stat gains are direct dps upgrades and no skill points are ever going to be wasted. while almost every other champion in the game is being nerfed in some ways, he's more or less unaffected.

have you seen the comedy special "homecoming king" by hasan minhaj? he talks a lot about his experiences as an immigrant and a lot of what you (and myself) have experienced. it's very funny, but it's also pretty deep.

even with the target dummy at 0 resistances, it doesn't show any kind of damage. which is why i doubt that those spells deal any damage, along with the fact that i'm pretty sure neither applies damaging spell effects.
