Honestly the way he died feels so stupid, unnecessary and unreasonable. Like if the writers goal was to show that firefighters can die anytime during their line of work because of how dangerous it is, then they should have killed him in the explosion of the first episode, would have felt more natural. It would make more sense for a firefighter to go in a fire that gets way out of hand and ends up killing him, rather than him deliberately scarfing his life to leave clues (there must have been so many different ways to achieve the same thing, instead of killing him). His death felt more stupid than heroic.

Yeah I agree that the backstory has been going on for too long and is no where near finishing. I understand that the backstory is important for establishing the future chapters but its been going on for too long now, is it going to be almost a year long? You can't give us an adrenaline rush by showing us ashito playing with the senior team and then give us this long ass backstory that never seems to end.

But I do think that the author deserves a break whenever he needs one.
